The guidebook in the room was very helpful and provided information about things to do in the Lake District area, by foot or car. I took a 45 minute walk around the nearby farm and enjoyed quiet, scenic views. The unit we stayed in consisted of a large living room, full kitchen, bedroom, and bath with shower and tub. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both meals were scrumptious. There was a great vibe at dinner and it was clear that this is not just a spot for guests, but also popular with the locals. Parking was available just across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Pauline and Bill's guest house is wonderful! Our room was quiet and clean and overlooking a serene little bit of forest. The room was a spacious suite which had a comfortable sofa separate to the bed. Breakfast was warmly cooked for us by Pauline and it was delicious, with fine local pork. We highly recommend this charming little guest house!

Yvonne is a wonderful host who was incredibly kind to me when I received bad news whilst staying at the guest house. She will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. The property is a great location by the river and an easy walk up into town. Free parking on the streets outside. Compared to other places I looked at, this property was considerably cheaper and it proved good value for money.

The location is great - kendal has lots of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops and is a great location to get yo lake windermere and all the walks around! Yvonne is such a great host - nothing was too much trouble, and she's so happy, bubbly and chatty! She happily cooked us up a vegan breakie too! The room was super clean and tidy, and the bed was so comfy. The entire place was very sweet, with lots of crocheted plant pots!
