Featuring a garden and views of lake, Castlehamilton Cottages and Activity Centre is a holiday home situated in a historic building in Cavan, 8.8 km from Drumlane Abbey. This property offers access to bowling in the bowling alley, free private parking and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. We loved the games room and the walks on the grounds. Being able to hire a boat for a trip to a nearby island was an added bonus and Alan was very accommodating with times etc.

Excellent accommodation with everything you could possibly need, including extras like, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, etc. We were guests at a wedding in Farnham Estate and I believe we were closer than some of the Hotel guests.

Thoughtful host provided a welcome hamper. Host was available for any questions or emergencies by text but also respected our privacy. Within walking distance of town. Nice forest walks close by. Very quiet and peaceful.

The house is huge, clean, beds are very comfortable with new mattresses, the house was warm and it had lots of facilities. It´s a lovely place if you want to disconnect from busy cities and connect with nature and have some quiet and peaceful time. The hosts were lovely and always available. We will definitely come back in the future.

Really private. Hot tub is amazing. We enjoy so much, will be back for sure.

Helpful and friendly owners. Comprehensive booklet of things to do in the area (and there are plenty!) A real home from home, and we'd be back like a shot were we to visit the area again. Cracking house, the house was ideal, beds extremely comfortable, all facilities there, easy access to the house, good communication with the owner, 5-minute walk into the village where there are supermarkets, pubs, and restaurants.
