The hotel is well located and the facilities are of good quality. However, my stay was affected by a digestive issue, and I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility in the service. Despite a simple request for plain white rice at breakfast due to my condition, it was refused. For several days, I couldn’t make use of the breakfast included. In a hotel of this standard, a bit more care and empathy would have been appreciated. Another point to mention: very few staff members speak French or Italian, which can be challenging for some international guests. After a long 17 hours flight and understanding that check in was 3 pm in the afternoon I was able to get an earlier check in which made the difference. The staff were accommodating in all aspects. I had stayed before in December and this time May so I really enjoyed relaxing at the pool. I was travelling by myself and felt comfortable eating in the bar area and had the choice also of the dining room . Just, being there and seeing first hand what has gone on in the last ten years, is useful. It extends the boundaries of the art of the possible. It's an "Experience", but it is not a "Holiday" .
