Ksamil was a wonderful alternative for those seeking a beach holiday without the crowds of other popular destinations. The beaches are clean and the sea is absolutely amazing. There are an abundance of restaurants, bars, and activities to enjoy. It's also convenient that Euros are accepted almost everywhere. The most beautiful sunsets were visible from almost every spot in Ksamil, and unlike some other beach destinations, Ksamil is rather quiet and peaceful. Beautiful beaches (man-made) and turquoise waters. Nice kind of Ibiza vibe going on with the beach clubs. One downside is you need to hire sun beds at 98% of beaches (no room to just rock up and put your towel down). Cost for this vary with time of season but min. 10 euros for basic to 50 euros for "instagramable". Food and drink excellent and relatively cheap. Beach holiday with a couple of places to see close by or travel a bit further to explore - probably by car is best.Guest review byMoodz - 10.0
Loved it.
Loved it. The place was beautiful, the pictures don’t mke it justice as to how good it is. You literally have the sunset to admire either at the pool, or patio or even your private balcony. It’s well located and a bit more to the “not so many people” side of Ksamil which made it awesome. The people there were super nice, Lele was lovely and her chocolate cake at breakfast cured my hangover. I definitely want to go back some day. The beaches here are fantastic—Kristal Beach was our favourite, with plenty of sunbeds and easy access to hotel facilities. Bora Bora was a close second! For lunch, we loved Mr. Chicken for their tasty gyros, and both Castle Restaurant and Roman Restaurant were great for dinner too. A special shoutout to RRappa—the pork shish kebab was hands down the best meat we had all trip! This is a picturesque beach resort with many nice restaurants at very reasonable prices, although as we found out later, you have to be careful on prices.The beach area is beautiful and clean but every area is chargeable. We were there in low season which for us was fantastic, I can imagine it getting over busy later on. Had a wonderful 3 days at Poda Boutique Hotel in Ksamil. Our stay exceeded all expectations as the people who work there are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Paradise beach is very close - 5 minutes by walk. My wife and I chose the quietest beach - Last Bay Beach, there was no music. It takes 15 minutes to walk there. Albania is not a very clean country, but Noi Hotel is a piece of Europe in Albania.
