The updated room was very clean, spotless, the layout was also great for families travelling with multiple luggage. I found it very satisfying if when we can park our car just in front of our room. The wi-fi was super fast and stable.
The hotel itself is not that far, nor near from city centre. Its less than a 3 minutes drive.

Location was great. A block away from cafes & a few restaurants. Easy walk to the beach. Serene surrounding with many vacation rentals. Dolphin rental was right next to Pelican.
Pelican is a tired facility with peeling cabinet laminates in its bathrooms. We were in units 4 & 5. Unit 5 has kleenex box, a standing fan & a working light at door entrance, all of which were missing in unit 4. We reported the light issue to the reception but npthing was done.
There is a laundromat in its premise, which charges A$4 for wash & A$4 for dryer. Only $1 coins are accepted.
On the plus side, towels & bed linens were clean. We did not cook & were glad we didn't have to.

I had booked the accommodation for for a future date and called early that afternoon saying we had changed our plans and asked if we could be booked in that day. Our booking was changed straight away and checked in around an hour later. Very clean and spacious two bedroom villa with a double bed and two single beds in the second room.

wonderful walking with beautiful views esp out to Bald Head, it was a long but relatively easy walk apart from the uphill bits. Good surface on walkway. Views are amazing. Also nice walking around headland close to Middleton Beach. Albany seemed to us a very quiet friendly peaceful place - we felt we could have lived there.

We go yearly for the Albany round the houses vintage car event,
the motorkana at the airport and the Hill climb at Mt Clarence.
The Premier Pub is the place to go for a warm hearty feed., if you like Italian we recommend the Italian restaurant in town. Little Italy.

Albany has so many sight seeing attractions within a very short car drive. The view from the top of Mount Clarence over looking the Harbour should not be missed.
While there check out the historical Forts. And the National Anzac Centre
Little Italy Restaurant York Street is an excellent choice for a meal as all freshly made pastas and very tasty.
Handasyde strawberry farm is worth visiting for a quick snack.

We were blessed with beautiful warm Autumn weather during our stay, so we went for walks along Middleton Beach, drove along Marine Drive to see the spectacular views of King George Sound, had coffee with friends at Haz Beanz cafe down at the marina and brunch at Kate's Cafe. We also had a delicious fisherman's basket from Ocean and Paddock which is conveniently situated across the road from 'The Retreat'.
We have been to Albany many times before and seen must see sights like the National Anzac Memorial and the Whaling Station and as we had only a few nights we wanted to just chill.

Didn't know what to expect but was very impressed by the beautiful town, fantastic restaurants and pubs and the amazing natural beauty of the area. The Anzac Museum and the Whaling Station Museum are a must see. We could have spent many more days here.

Apart from the rain, good place to take a break, lots of things to do and see, not to far from Denmark or Mt. Barker. Take the opportunity to check the weather before making the trip to Porongurup at the Stirling Range as rain would be a disadvantage whilst tracking up/down the mountain to the look out points.

Everything. We had a super three days in Albany and staying at Casa Melina was a highlight. It is such a wonderful space and has clearly been renovated with love. Communication was great as well. We filled our days visiting lots of the great sites and places around Albany and it has been lovely to come back to this super house to chill and relax. We played quite a few games in the evening. The house had everything we could ask for. We couldn’t ask for more. All great memories of a super holiday.
We recently stayed in an executive suite at The Pelicans in Albany and had a wonderful experience. The suite was impeccably clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The lady who checked us in was warm and friendly, which set a positive tone for our stay.
The location is ideal—just a short walk from the stunning Middleton Beach—making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was also very quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated.
Lilacs Apartment are a set of various holiday cabins overlooking the inner bay at Albany. They are great for children as the cabins come in a number of configurations and have play equipment and plenty of play space. My cabin was well equipped for a multi day stay and it had updated facilities and equipment. The location is lovely as they face directly onto the water which is very calm.
I loved everything about our self contained apartment and our beautiful hilltop view of some amazing properties. The cafes and hotel at a walking distance and Middleton Beach a stone throw away 🙂 We cannot wait to visit again.
This property is perfectly located for an Albany holiday. Fabulous facilities and obviously recently renovated. Comfy beds, and everything we needed. And our dog loved the big back yard.
