Otherwise very pretty scenery and waterfront, more suitable to younger people, to whom it appears to cater.
Lots of surfing enthusiasts.

I’ve watched Byron change over the last thirty years and am pleased to see that it still retains remnants of its surfing/hippie culture (not enough for me but some nonetheless) I’m not a fan of the glossy influencer elements that have commercialised the town and made it inaccessible to some people BUT the natural beauty and sacredness of the location will always have my heart 🌈💕🌊 Best coffee ever!

It was our first time to Byron.
It was our first time to Byron. We loved the friendly welcoming nature of the locals, the diversity of the travellers and the cleanliness of the town. The restaurants and pubs had something for everyone, ample shopping options and great cafes. the beach was always pristine and clean.
Beyond Byron we explored Lismore, Bangalow, Teven and Nimbin and loved everywhere we went, with equally welcoming locals.

There are a lot of Mexican, Asian and Japanese restaurants but something to suit everyone.

Stunning beaches and the sea, great places to visit around (...
Stunning beaches and the sea, great places to visit around (Byron Bay Lighthouse, Crystal Castle, Nimbin, natural lakes with tea trea oil, great restaurants and cafes, all needed for a great holiday. I would stay one week at least.
The location was everything. The house is located right across from the most beautiful beach. The views from the balcony are to die for - the pictures do not do it justice. There is a little coffee cart at the end of the beach but no shops (Byron Bay is a short drive away). The house was really well appointed with super comfy beds (and pillows) and everything that we needed, including beach towels, great showers (including a really cool outdoor shower) and three bathrooms. Definitely recommend staying here.
Location was great - a short walk to the main parts of Byron Bay. Parking was free and included. Breakfast selection was the best in our month long trip to Australia, lots of options depending on your preferences (eggs, breads, cereals, fruits and plenty of cooking gear). Washing/drying machines a huge plus as we were midtrip while in Byron. They also were super kind and gave us a small gift as were there on our honeymoon. Would stay here again 10/10.
We stayed at The Surf House for 3 nights and loved it! This is not like any other hostel, and is closer to a hotel in the standard of rooms, cleanliness of the property and friendly staff. This was especially welcomed after 44 hours of travelling! Decor was lovely and really fitted with the relaxed but stylish Byron Bay vibe! The hostel bar was also great, serving great pizzas and cheap beer. overall a great stay and would recommend!
Tiff, the daughter of the owner, is an absolute gem - she picked me up at my shuttle's drop off location to take me to the hotel, made several recommendations for places to eat and things to do that were wonderful, and contributes to a very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. My room had a lovely balcony that made me feel like I was living in a tree house and listening to the surrounding birdlife is an extraordinary experience.
Belongil beach across the road where we watched whales, and a short drive to Byron Bay, or a longish walk if you're of a mind. There was a nice pool in the villa plus the main pool. Landscaping and parking were great. No real issues with the freshly renovated villa, it was lovely.
Fair location. This is an Airbnb type, where there’s limited contact with host and minimal service. The representation was that it would be a small hotel with services available. A very limited breakfast was available. The staff, when showed up we’re very friendly and helpful.
The location is terrific, surrounded with by a lush garden filled with Water Dragons and Bush Turkeys. The room was an eclectic mix of old and new, Bali and Byron Bay. It was different, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Ideal for those who love to mix it up a little.
This place can be considered as a luxury backpacker but the money that they charged me like 5 start appartment! There is nothing good about this place . We booked for three nights that we left the place one day earlier as not possible to be relaxed in this place!
Loved our stay , the staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible . It’s a great convenient hotel to discover Byron bay. Surf boards and bike rentals provided free of charge which came in handy.
Luxury in the heart of byron !
Such a beautiful hotel - every detail is perfection
We felt pampered and spoilt the entire stay
The staff were so accommodating and ensured all our requests were attended too
Can't wait to go back !!!
Location was amazing. Loved the rooftop bar and the activities put on nightly and the welcome drink was a nice touch. Lots of space in the common areas to hang around. Appreciated the cheap and secure parking as well.
The Lily Pad is a secluded garden paradise with nature right on the doorstep, yet a short car trip away from the heart of Byron Bay. Run by a beautiful generous couple, it’s a must stay
The location, the facilities and the view.
Six minutes' walk to Wategos Beach and twelve minutes' walk to the Byron Bay Lighthouse. Well maintained lush garden and friendly host.
our eco cabin was exceptionally clean. the beds were so comfortable. i have a fragrance allergy so I loved that nothing was scented, yet super clean. close to byron bay.
Amazing place to stay. So refreshing to have a nice pet friendly hotel. Beautiful rooms, super clean, amazing location, easy to walk anywhere in Byron you’d want to go.
