We stayed in the ''old house'' section and enjoyed the quaintness of the room and the decor. The room was well facilitated and even though we were warned we may hear the room overhead; it was never a concern for us. Staff were more than welcome to move us if we wanted. you don't get that service from a large motel chain!

We had a lovely welcome and were given the choice of two rooms. There is no aircon but the temperature made that ok. The room was small but very cosy and sweet and the facilities were good. The location is great, close to the main street and a few minutes walk to the quayside.

Terrific balcony sea view! Kids love it.
The decoration and facility is designed mindfully and my wife like it.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Port Fairy this weekend is $106 or, for a 4-star hotel, $181. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Port Fairy for this weekend cost around $379 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Second oldest town in Victoria. Plus went to the Aboriginal Eel Traps at Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre. Traps are 6,000 years old. Our guide was most informative about their culture. Just brilliant.
Main street has not been spoiled by developments.
A most characterful area and continues down to and along the river.
I like staying in 'old' towns such as this.
Echuca, Castlemain, Creswick, Beechworth, Bright, Yackandanda, Swan Hill, San Remo, etc.

Port Fairy I believe is the best presented village on the Coast in Victoria and perhaps even Australia.
The walk along the River among the fascinating old and quaint homes is truely memorable. We ate at Hotel one evening and very character filled Pizza and Bar restaurant another evening.Best Pizza we have had in years,Port Fairy is a dream to walk around from the River to the Beach to the parks and gardens and generally around main village precinct.Only thing we would avoid is not staying long enough and we could have enjoyed world class golf course.

Port Fairy is a pretty little town.
Port Fairy is a pretty little town. I loved the historic buildings especially the timber cottages. The town is obviously cherished by its inhabitants and pride is taken in its presentation and history. There are some great places to eat in Port Fairy.
We had hoped to do some walking along the path by the river and around Griffith island. My husband has Parkinson’s and uses a walker for balance. We did some walking but we’re limited because the path along the river is broken by stairs to the footbridge over the river and the start of the Griffith island path is wonderful but deteriorates to rough gravel. Port Fairy is a great place to visit - especially if you appreciate a very good golf course. The town has great historical interest and is well appointed for tourists. This part of Victoria is very exposed to the weather so the traveller needs to check the weather in advance and take clothes to suit.

Port fairy is a beautiful, quiet and very much upmarket town with excellent shops, cafes and one or two good looking restaurants. There are peaceful, interesting nature walks and a picturesque wharf and boardwalk.
Gorgeous!
We arrive past reception time, but the Jess' communication and contact with us was on point, we had no issue getting to and around the place. We were provided with places to visit around Port Fairy and some recommendation as well, guest experience was fantastic... We stayed a night since we were only driving through back to Adelaide after our trip in Melbourne and drive from the Great Ocean Road. The place is definitely great for young travellers, it spacious, clean and have enough social rooms to meet up new friends...
The hotel was close to the center of Port Fairy, just 50 meters away. The beach, Griffith Island and the port/harbour is a 5 minutes walk away. Everything reachable w/o using the car :-). The room was big and well designed. Persons w/ disability could enjoy the room as well. The bar, restaurant and exit was on the same level and easy to reach.
Stunning location best in
Port Fairy. The hosts Berni and Brett had all excellent local knowledge to suggest the best places to eat and visit. We have been visiting Port Fairy staying at different locations and this is head and shoulders above the rest. Weather was perfect for visiting local attractions.
We loved our holiday in Port Fairy. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back. It is a beautiful beachside place with none of the takeaways etc. Walks were wonderful and the motel is in the Main Street but it was very quiet.
The views of the ocean are spectacular.Near by beach was awesome and pet friendly.Gas log fireplace was very nice.Kitchen was well equipped with workable appliances.Bed was very comfortable and property is very nice and quite.
The location was good—-we could walk to town. Port Fairy was a nice town with beautiful flowers. Julia was very friendly and accommodating. The cottage had everything we needed and was clean. It was fun to feed the alpacas.
Super central location. Yet quiet. Lovely apartment with shady sunny balcony. Pristine condition. Fantastic walks on east beach and then on Killarney Beach. Lots of food and beverage options. Right beside supermarket
Great stay, received a wonderful warm welcome and were given information about the hotel and locality. BIG rooms, nicely kitted out bathroom, lovey building and well located. Would definitely stay again.
Nice place for a group of 11 people. Kids and pet friendly. Initially thought the nights will be very cold with no hearts in the bed room. But there was no need of heaters. Bed rooms were warm and cosy.
Location right in centre of town. It was cheap and they permitted single night stays unlike the majority of accommodation in Port Fairy which for such a lovely town is disappointing.
Beautiful Cottage on a property with animals and Fruit trees. Only 1 kilometer from the town of Port Fairy and all it has to offer. Very Hospitable hosts who provided lovely treats.
