The view was amazing -we sat outside having breakfast on verandah as the view was so inviting,
Everything else was just great.
Also I was about to carry my suitcase upstairs when a lovely lady staff member said let me do that for you.
Also the young man at the desk when we checked in also had offered to help us upstairs so staff were excellent

Clean town, good beach, plenty of restaurants and a very good bowls club for dinner, remember to take id. Stopped overnight going and returning from Victoria/ Queensland. There are some good motels just back from the beach.

Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye. PMQ case in point
Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye. PMQ case in point
Pros
- The beaches would be among the best in the world.
- Greenery
- Nature attractions/urban wildlife
- Improvements on waterfront world class
- Beach walkway from Town to Lighthouse beach amazing.
Cons
- Roads are simply appalling in many places, just pothole covers holding hands and a should be a real embarrassment to local council, though looks in places they have started fixing the problem
- High elderly and low socio-economic population, kind of depressing local population
- Population/development explosion, high rents and tariffs
- Lots of hoons and bogans, exercise vigilance late at night
- Increasingly visible homeless problem
- Town is over promoted and exploited, certainly not a place to "get away from it all" anymore, its got plenty of what you came to escape, best to come outside of public and school holidays, always some pesky "festival" or event going on blocking roads and causing chaos
- Not a quaint fishing/holiday destination anymore
- If you strike a "Red Weed" season on your holiday, any beach-river activities are ruined.
-Service in most establishments is terrible

Happy and helpful staff at motel and EI restaurant.
Happy and helpful staff at motel and EI restaurant. The comfiest bed 🫠 you could ask for and walking distance to river, beach, restaurants and shopping centre. Given Free coffees upon book in for breakfast was a lovely bonus. 😊
Only disappointment was upgraded to balcony for the treat of the view of the river as shown in picture. We had a view of a car park. 😟

The Bowling Club was located at the back of the apartment building and only a short stroll away. Perfect place for dinner. Also love the restaurant at Westport for dinner. We have been there numerous times and never disappointed.
We have stayed in PM numerous times and always love coming back. Great accommodation, walks, beach and cafes. The Sea Acres Rainforest is definitely worth a visit and the food at the Cafe is lovely.

Nice Getaway.
Nice Getaway.
You can do Jet Ski at $240 per hour, and can swap drivers.
Sea Plane ride was good, but not comfortable.
Book a day in advance else you have to come back next day.
One thing is food is expensive in the place.

Vibrant town centre with lots of restaurants and harbour/...
Vibrant town centre with lots of restaurants and harbour/ estuary views. Great beaches and walks up to the lighthouse at Tacking Point. Must-do staging point if travelling by car between Brisbane and Sydney. Glad we stayed 2 nights rather than 1.
Amazing accommodation. My partner and I stayed at Sandcastles for a week and it was the best stay in Port Macquarie. We had the one bedroom with the balcony ocean view. The apartment was updated and the bed was comfy. Directly across from the apartments is Town Beach. From there you can walk into the main part of town or go for an afternoon stroll along the boardwalk hoping to see dolphins. Security is fantastic and the parking is secure as well. Also at the back of the apartments is Port City bowling club where the meals are very delicios
We have stayed in Port Macquarie a few times before and tried a few other hotels and motels. All we tried have been very good but this one ticks all the boxes at the same time. All the room facilities are great, secure parking, location, and great value for money. We could leave the car, walk to many local venues like cafes, restaurants, beach walks, local art gallery and supermarket. Would definitely stay again.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Beach views from the large & private balcony & apartment windows. Very impressive & comfortable furnishings with great flexibility for family & larger groups. Impeccably clean apartments. Free parking onsite. Very friendly staff. Close proximity to the beach, restaurants, shops & the many tourist activities. The place to stay when visiting Port Macquarie!
Very clean safe friendly excellent position great for walking along river and multiple options for good quality takeaway given the times
basic plates cutlery in room very helpful
good size room & bathroom adequate hanging space ( last hotel we stayed in had x 1 hook on wall only )
great bed decent size tv
Great hotel in the heart of Port Macquarie for those who prioritise being outside in the cafes, by the river and browsing the shops. Walking distance to almost everything. The staff were very polite and helpful, accommodating my request for a particular floor to make the most of the water view.
Very cool hostel. There is a swimming pool, TV room, library, kitchen, entertaining room with pool, babyfoot and everything you need ... Very good vibes between travelers and Very good services from the staffs. I definitely would come back if I come to Port Macquarie again one day. Thank you
Beautiful hotel on the marina. It has a very upscale feel and the property and the rooms are very well maintained. We loved that our first floor room opened up to the pool area and we could walk right out to it.
Close to beaches, heated pool. Secure and clean surrounds, nice birds and wildlife on the property. Close to the town. Would certainly recommend to friends as a great place to stay in Port Macquarie.
A great location, well run family style hotel with big rooms and comfortable beds, a workable kitchen and laundry, in the room! Very friendly staff And good car parking -
Hotel was cheap and I could park my new car in front of my room and keep an eye on it. The outside lights turned off around 9.30pm to stop people hanging around outside.
