AustraliaSuperb location – plenty of on-site parking. Beautiful garden. Everything immaculately clean and comfortable. There were some extras we didn't expect including a night light in the bathroom and a non-skid shower mat. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into making guests comfortable.
The hosts were friendly and welcoming. They're communications were timely and informative, and they did a great job of explaining how to locate the property and how to access the free off-street parking. They also followed up with a text to my phone with that info before our arrival, which I really appreciated, and on our arrival made it clear they'd be available if we had any questions after check-in.

The Mill had great food and pool tables and big screen tv to watch sport. The leather shop has some great items. So many gorgeous antique shops. A lovely little village. It's good to stay over to really enjoy the vibe - but beware - a lot of the shops don't open until 10:30 or 11am as they wait for the tour groups to arrive. I had a lovely platter and glass of wine at Somerled in the main street of Hahndorf where Karen was very attentive. I enjoyed a very good breakfast and coffee at Cafe Assiette, which is open at 7.30am each morning. Hahndorf is gorgeous.
Hahndorf is gorgeous. Not only is it physically beautiful, it just oozes history. There are so many things to see (HIGHLY recommend Sharon's walking tour BTW) and do...plenty of great food outlets, many with an appropriately Germanic character. Be cautious...there are some tourist traps, but they do not diminish from the experience. We were fortunate to stay when there was a full moon which lit up the surrounds. The night sky was full of stars it was so peaceful. In the morning we had kangaroos foraging around us.
