Absolutely extraordinary view of Coffin Bay from our decking. Wildlife and walking trails are great. The Oyster HQ restaurant was very hit and miss, natural oysters were fabulous but any cooked were completely overdone and were liked dried up peas. The staff although willing were inexperienced. The pub was good value, Coffin Bay is well worth a look.

Would be a great place to stay in the summer season.

Would be a great place to stay in the summer season. We got there on march 1st and the only place open for dinner was the pub, and they had run out of quite a few items, but we had a good meal, it is the only option for eating monday and tuesday nights. HQ was open for lunch but you had to book in advance, food was great. It was like most of the town had closed, our accomodation was full and the caravan park 3/4 full, so dining out was a problem when nothing was open

The Oyster Tour is a must - you wear waders and wade to a pontoon and learn about oysters and eat them and drink wine. Also majestic sand dunes - great for taking the 4WD for a spin. A few good walking trails and good fishing. A nice golf course too nestled beside a huge sand dune with emus and kangaroos galore.

Great escape. Unspoilt location, with stunning scenery.

Great escape. Unspoilt location, with stunning scenery. You do need a car, and the current general store only has limited supplies (Port Lincoln, 45 kms away has everything) but it seems a new store is to be built. The best oysters around and one of 2 excellent restaurants. Try 1802. The NP is large but you need a 4WD and a lot of time to explore much of it
