Daylesford is good any time of year. Especially nice in Autumn. The Lake was beautiful with the sun on it and autumn leaves falling photographic. Wombat Hill gardens were lovely as was Hepburn Springs. Jackie's on Vincent is one of our favourite place to eat and we weren't disappointed.
Nice range of shops and historical buildings from the gold rush era. The Historical Society and Museum run by Volunteers is really informative and great.

Lovely country town, everybody helpful and friendly,...
Lovely country town, everybody helpful and friendly, especially at the hotel. Great little shopping and restaurants, cafes, etc. Beautiful scenery and surrounding areas. unfortunately we didn't have time to visit any spas, but will definitely go again.
The only downfall was the taxi service, which we had ordered to take us to my daughter's wedding. It didn't turn up, and after many phone calls, finally out hotel manager got one for us. Ditto when we left the reception, didnt show. Worse, was the limo that my son-in-in law had organised to take him and my daughter to their accommodation, didn't show after the reception. So everybody left, and they were left standing. Had to get a friend to come and get them, Spoilt a lovely day for them, as he had planned a romantic surprise. No real apology from the company, just refunded the money.

Daylesford is a Rural Victoria gem, filled with art galleries and great shopping, but most of all an awesome atmosphere where everyone is welcomed. The springs are closeby and wellness spas are abundant, as are a host of other attractions, but you will need transport (car/motorbike) to make the most of it.
The annual Pride ChillOut festival over the long labour day weekend is a must, a weekend filled with a host of events and where all the Daylesford businesses get involved. A truly magical time.

It was easy to spend 3 days in Daylesford visiting galleries, parks and the lake area. The food was excellent at the cafes and restaurants I visited, especially The Farmers Arms Hotel which also had a lovely outdoor area. If you’re into second hand shopping, you must visit the Mill Market and op shops too!

Daylesford is a gorgeous country town...not too big and not too small. Great cafes and restaurants. Gorgeous scenery. Lovely community and service is outstanding. Recommend it for a relaxing break.
The house was exactly what I expected and wanted from a long weekend getaway to the country. Charming, loads of character, lovely gardens, good facilities and the fireplace was perfect for those chill Daylesford evenings. The convenient location, just around the corner from the Main Street meant that restaurants, cafes and shops were just a few minutes walk away. Angeline was a lovely, thoughtful and attentive host. Can’t wait to stay at Poets Lodge again!
We arrived in Daylesford and stayed at Aggies Way. When we arrived the weather was cold and wet. When we opened the front door we were greeted with warmth, soft music and lights. The house was beautiful with everything you need for a few nights away from home. We also received a complimentary box of regional goodies. The house was spotless and had the weather been better we would have been able to enjoy the outdoor BBQ and lovely couch and lounge chairs.
Beautiful old style hotel. The exexutive suite with spa and balcony had the old world charm we wanted complete with a creaky step up to the room. The bed was every bit 5 star. Central location was the greatest and an easy walk to local shops and restaurants. Our hosts Louise and Jason were amazing and full of local knowledge. Sevice was excellent in every respect. We stay in a lot of hotels and this one gets 4 stars with ease.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location. Hot breakfast $22 and you can have a very full belly with honest food. No stupid herbs or weird bread. Good honest white bread with bacon, eggs, and beans. Toast and cereals available. If you’re after luxury, this is not the place to go. If you need a good value, clean room in the heart of Daylesford with friendly honest people come here.
The Lake view is amazing, peaceful and lovely to wake up to with a coffee on the large deck.
Easy access to walking paths and Daylesford town
The house has tons of character and is thoughtfully decorated.
The location was very quiet with birdsong waking you in the morning, highly recommend Waterside.
The Host Tony was very helpful and quickly answered all questions
Very spacious and comfortable room. When we arrived, the heater was already on, which was nice on a chilly afternoon.
The bathroom is very spacious, plenty of room for 2 people.
Bed is comfy.
Right over the road is the Farmers Arms Hotel, which provides an excellent dinner, and walking distance to the popular Daylesford Market on Sunday morning.
The house was amazing, very welcoming and comfortable. It was very well equipped. Perfect for a girls weekend away. The heating worked really well especially on a cold weekend and was even turned on for us before we arrived . We loved watching the kangaroos and looking out at the view. It was only a short drive into Daylesford.
The room was value for money. It was clean, close to town centre and quiet. Host made sure that everything important was available. I would go back to Daylesford and stay in this property again in future.
The location was amazing, beautiful bush walks from the property, very private and neighbours were quiet. The property was pet friendly. Bed was comfy and great spa bath. Lots of apps on the Smart TV.
Comfy beds, spacious and well equiped. Pet friendly.
Air-conditioning was a blessing on a very hot day. Great communication from property management. Would stay again if in the area.
I stayed with my daughter and we loved everything about the Royal Daylesford Hotel. Room was great and the staff were amazing. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!!!
Host was very helpful and we enjoyed the goodies left. House was very clean and the outside balcony, BBQ and backyard overlooking the lake was very peaceful.
