It serves its purpose as an overnight stay in basic but very clean accommodation. Some things didn’t work window shutter jammed so unable to open windows for fresh air. However as an overnight quiet stop it is okay. Would stay again but only for a short stay, no cooking facilities except microwave

Most part of the Pibara region is boring as fk.
Most part of the Pibara region is boring as fk. Only travel there for work up on the mines and gas plant. Family touring? No, don`t do it. Kimberley has some great views and parks for exporing, otherwise, go down South.
Oh, right, Never go any Asian resturants in Karratha, not authentic and total rip off. Western style Bar &Grill in Karratha are generally good.

Karratha is a hidden gem.
Karratha is a hidden gem. It is a clean, accessible city spread out to accommodate the easy transition of traffic coming in and out of it. Entering the city from the main highway gives you wonderful glimpses of the ocean through the palm-lined fringes of the city outskirts. We were fortunate to eat organic fresh fruits which was unexpected and such a nice surprise! If you've had the privilege of eating farm grown produce that still maintains taste and texture, you'll know what I mean. Karratha is not to be missed. A refreshing visit for us, we'll gladly return here.

We enjoyed Karratha and especially an unaccompanied tour of the rock art. This was along a board walk but was very well done. You do have to get the light right to see some of it. The afternoon is recommended but we were amazed at what we saw mid morning.
What we didn't enjoy was a breakfast at the Empire cafe. n I had the chose what you want dish and paid $5 dollars to have grilled tomato included. When my plate came, it had an eighth of a tomato on it. I complained and had a plate with another half tomato on it banged down on the table.
The restaurant is the highlight of the hotel. Breakfast has a big spread of different food and tastes really good for a regional hotel. We also had dinner there for 2 nights and both are exceeding my expectations. Room is clean (not counting the insects) and spacious. There are chair outside the room to sit if you don't mind to mingle with the insects. Their pool looks wonderful and inviting but we didn't have time to dip into it.
New property - room clean, secure and comfortable. Price includes breakfast, dinner and you can pack your own lunch - pretty amazing value for the Pilbara!! Pool is nice and there is a gym. Just be aware the hotel is situated on the industrial estate and mainly caters for workers eg truck drivers & FIFO workers.
Econo Lodge Karratha has recently come under new management and the situation there is rapidly changing for the better. If you are in need for a sleep over on your long driving trip, low cost, no fuss, that is the place for you to rest. My warmest wishes to the new manager and his staff :)
Location was good. Close to shopping centre and roads leading out of town.
Well signposted roads and traffic not too heavy or busy. We enjoyed our visit to Karratha and surrounding areas.
Apartment was well appointed with furnishings and kitchen appliances.
Spacious and comfortable.
Brekky was exactly as I expected, to have full food and board in the already reasonable accommodation cost made this a very attractive proposition for the next time I am in Karratha. The conveniently located Nor West Brewing company was just a great bonus.
2 bedroom apartment spotlessly clean. Everything you need. Air con, big tv… lovely kitchen… great for 4 people. Not cheap at $350 per night but worth it for peace of mind and comfort after driving all day. Would definitely come back.
Good location for what we required. Camp style accommodation set up for one person but was equally comfortable for two. Accommodation in Karratha is expensive so this was a good option for lower priced accommodation.
The hotel was in an excellent location for an easy walk to town. It was clean and very comfortable. The room was spacious and bathroom was modern and well appointed. Beautiful tropical pool, bar, restaurant area.
Location was pretty easy to find in Karratha. Interesting check-in procedure. A code sent to your phone as the entry to the room was a modern time saving feature. Washing machine in room was handy.
The washing machine/dryer in room was a massive bonus. The area around the hotel was good, with a large parkland next door. The pub nearby offered decent meals
The location of the hotel was central to all our needs and the location of the room was perfect. I doubt I could have selected a more perfect room myself!!!
