A great little town with so much to see in the town plus in nearby areas. The bakery, Gold Museum and gaol plus so much more, 2-3 days could easily be spent here. Being autumn time, the tree colours were magnificent.

Beechworth is a great place to visit at any time however, in autumn the colours are spectacular and as a keen photographer, I had plenty to photograph. There are also many activities in Beechworth and it's surrounds to have something meaningful to do every day. The weather was delightful.

Never enough time to see Beechworth.
Never enough time to see Beechworth. Easy walking to the different amenities. Very historical town and well worth the effort to see what is on display such as the court house, Burke Museum. Great eating at night time in the bistro at the Hotel Nicholas, but book ahead as it was flat out. Meals were amazing and well priced.

Been to Beechworth before but it is just delightful especially in Autumn. Nice lot of shops and walks if you like. Just relaxing in the sun is always good. Lots of history to explore if you like. Lots of good cycling too if that's your thing.

Great shops to visit and a good variety.
Great shops to visit and a good variety. Prices were high, dont know how locals can afford to shop there
Pub meal disappointing, expensive, underwhelming for what you paid, (Hibernian Hotel) other hotel (Empire) was not open.this was a sunday night, thought it unusual as plenty of tourists there..
A very light + airy room that opened out onto a balcony with a great view looking out over a paddock towards the Gorge.
The room was very large + you were able to open the balcony door to take advantage of all that fresh air.
Located next to a walking/bike track made for a quick trip to the unique craft + delicious food shops for which Beechworth is famous... + that included breakfast at the Beechworth Bakery.
The staff were super nice + friendly + helpful + informative.
Lake Sambell is the perfect peaceful spot to stay and explore Beechworth and the Indigo region. The site was clean, organised, offered great amenity, and had a beautiful outlook over the lake with a great walking track looping around it. Service was sensational. And it will be a great HQ for the annual trail running event Beechworth Beer Run every May. We'll be back to take part having explored the Indigo MTB on which the event will run for one day a year! Awesome.
Beautiful tastefully furnished hotel and the room. Contactless check in was excellent with the key located at the front door in a small compartment accessible by code sent to us on our mobile. Very comfortable large bed, lovely bathroom and everything from the front gate to the room was very clean and tidy! Peaceful and quiet location but still close to the center of town. Parking was under cover and in the premises with easy access. Will be back!
The hosts are great and helpful people. Ask them for tips for the region. The accommodation is surrounded by greenery, it's wonderfully quiet, a great place to relax. Breakfast and dinner can be booked and are highly recommended. The local wines offered by Beechworth House are also worthwhile. If you have time, you should visit the Bridge Road Brewers or the small bistro Project 49 in Beechworth.
The property is located in the center of historic Beechworth town. If you have a short trip this is a to go option. Less than 5min walk to the centre and restaurants, plenty of parking (more outside in the street in front), heated blanket for cold winter, coffee machine for you to enjoy before hitting the road for your next trip. A lovely cat welcomes you at a reception too
Clean and tidy room, breakfast included was very generous and we appreciated not having to go out for breakfast! Room was super cosy, a bonus if you visit in winter. Complementary biscuits to have with tea/ coffee was also a very thoughtful addition. Just a short drive into town for shopping, restaurants and all the sights of Beechworth was also great.
Able to eat on site at adjoining pub/hotel
Comfortable little unit
Great location easy 5 min walk to main shopping area, short drives to many neighbouring townships, sites and local attractions.
Staff never bother you we never saw any at all the whole stay which isn't always a good thing.
We loved our stay at Luxury on Loch! The whole stay was luxurious from the stand alone bath, to the beautiful linens and homewares. A truly romantic stay. The location was perfect for exploring all that Beechworth has to offer. The bubbles and chocolates on arrival were a real treat too!
In a great part of Beechworth. A fairly short downhill walk to town anda doable uphill walk to get back to the hotel. Enjoyed the grounds and the general facilities of the hotel. Bathroom was great. Large shower and spacious vanity. Would stay here again.
Beautiful historic house in great location in Beechworth. Very welcoming, informative host, lovely large room with comfortable bed, delicious breakfast included as well as welcome drinks and biscuits.
This hotel is set in the most beautiful gardens in such an historic area of Beechworth. Nice and warm on a winters day. It’s old and quirky but that was part of its attraction
