McLaren Vale is a must to visit when visiting Adelaide, because of its soil it has without a doubt the best wines in South Australia. Three days was not enough time to spend in this region to see and taste the wonders here. We would highly recommend visiting McLaren Vale as a must-see destination.

I live close by but we had a family wedding just outside McLaren Vale. It is such a lovely spot - truly lovely place to visit and stay - lots of places to visit, lots of wineries. It is so worth the trip and if you can stay for a few days - it will be worth it. Great place to base yourself for a look around the area.

This is a lovely little town and we enjoy going down and checking out the coffee shops and places to have lunch. We enjoy the Information Centre which has a beautiful outdoor undercover setting to sit and have a delightful lunch in the sun.

The wines in McLaren Vale are great.
The wines in McLaren Vale are great. We loved Samuel's Gorge, Kays and Fox Creek wineries. Most wineries charge for tasting the wines but that cost is removed if you purchase wine. The wineries also allow two people to share a tasting because of the issue of drink driving.
There are bus tours available in the area but we had our own car.
Eating can be tricky because many places are only open Thurs, Friday, Sat and Sunday. It is probably a good idea to check at the Visitors' centre to find out what is open when you are there. We ate at the Salopian Inn, Harry's Deli (Wirra Wirra winery), The Currant Shed and Pizzatecca and would recommend them all.

McLaren Vale has something for everyone and every budget.
McLaren Vale has something for everyone and every budget. Wonderful winery's , plenty of amazing place to enjoy fresh local produce. It is so easy to travel around McLaren Vale something almost around every corner.
Great house in the middle of Mcclaren Vale wine country which was the purpose of the trip. Very comfortable beds and living space and kitchen. Had food for breakfast and great dishes, glasses and utensils. Nice patio. Had a washer that I used and tried clothes on line in backyard. Mike was a very attentive host
We came to McLaren Vale to ride the Coast to Vines rail trail and Serafino was perfectly located. The rooms are large and bed was comfy (and huge!). The spa wasn't very powerful and after all the riding we had done that was a bit disappointing but they have to cater for all ages so that's understandable.
park across tthe road,. walk to the McLaren Vale village. washing machine available, great breakfast supplied, coffe plunger and espresso machine and coffee supplied. Lounge and dining rooms spacious. Garage able to shield car from heat. Mike also provided 2 vouchers for free tastings worth $35pp
Location, location - a view of the adjacent vineyard from the kitchen window was beautiful. Very cosy and beautifully restored period cottage with all facilities needed.
Within walking distance to at least two wineries, a perfect place to relax and enjoy some lovely McLaren Vale wines.
The room was very comfortable and spacious in a convenient location. The staff were excellent and kindly managed changes to my booking during my stay without issue. I'll be glad to stay there again when next I'm in McLaren Vale.
Pam & Paul were very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was sensational. Perfect spot for a McLaren Vale wedding and especially perfect for 3 couples to stay with both privacy while feeling like you’re on holiday together.
Beautiful architecture! Outstanding location. Loved McLaren Vale, and this house made our experience all the more special! Excellent facilities, lovely little outdoor area, and pristine cleanliness throughout.
the Cottage was beautiful, not sure I could think of anything else that was needed, maybe a couple of chairs for outside, as opposed to the benches only....for relaxing in/reading outdoors...
Spacious rooms, two bedrooms with large living area. Quiet location, lovely gardens. Breakfast included was generous. Great idea to have dark coloured face washers for makeup removal!
Stunning old renovated cottage situated in an excellent position. Loved the fire with plenty of wood, especially as the weather was so cold! Would stay again :)
Check in was effortless. Room was very spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable. Convenient location. 20 min walk to Salopian Inn along Shiraz Trail and road.
