Shopping is good, however the parking in the Main Street was terrible. Cars parked over lines taking up 2 spots, main travelling a very slow pace just is case someone might be moving out and they can get a car park, this then causes traffic jams with cars lined up for 2 blocks, And being caught over intersections when lights change. Sport complex (hockey fields) amazing, was a great place to see, such a pity other towns don’t have similar complexes.

Just passed through and stayed overnight would have liked to stay longer to view more of the area. When on the lookout excellent view with a lovely sunny day and blue sky and, a nice cool breeze, this lookout had some picnic tables available with walking trails maybe next time. Enjoyed the Saturday markets while we were there, interesting from locally made products to homemade cakes etc. Don't forget to drop into the Big Golden Guitar information centre the staff were friendly and helpful we also picked up a board game of Tamworth Monopoly, which you can only get here, why not we don't have this exclusive limited edition $30.00 bargain.

As we visit Tamworth annually to play darts, we mostly see the inside of the club where the tournament is held. The town is very quaint and it's a really country and western town. Tamworth has some nice parks and walking tracks which are great. Nice restaurants are situated in the town and its great to be able to sit a look at the people passing by

It is a bustling city. Not a sleepy country town.

It is a bustling city. Not a sleepy country town. Numerous clubs, cafes and places to eat and drink. Difference people are warm and friendly. Large shopping complex with numerous shops along the main street. Everything you would find in a Sydney suburb. Visiting during the Country Music Festival is a bucket list experience for anyone into County music. A great choice of accommodation.

The only good thing to come out of Tamworth is any road...

The only good thing to come out of Tamworth is any road leading away! The one good thing is the Dragon Palace restaurant. It's very good that's why it's busy. What has happened to the motels? We were booked at Tamworth Lodge Motel which we couldn't stay at, it's filthy! Then we went to the Town and Country Motor Inn and the pillows smelled of sweat. Hungry Jacks gets a serve for failing to do there job too.

Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia...

Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia, this is backed up by the Australian Country Music Hall Of Fame, and the Big Golden Guitar monument/motel. One thing about the Hall of Fame is it does close at 4.00pm, and as I have never arrived in Tamworth before this time, I truthfully cannot say very much about it. It's still on my bucket list. It's a beautiful city, nestled in the Great Dividing Range at a height of about 500 meters, so it does get a bit chilly in winter, (Armidale, 100k+ to the North of Tamworth has been known to get snow when the weather gets very cold) so take extra woollies in the winter if you go then.

Beautiful location and views. The sheep station was reclaimed into a tranquil modern accommodation maintaining much of its original structures. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Has its restaurant serving excellent food with polite staff. Not too far from the country city Tamworth food venue and other attractions.

Our room at the Econo Lodge Gateway Motel was clean and compact and only a short walk to restaurants, fast food outlets, the Bowling Club and Coles. A continental breakfast with plenty of options was included and we always appreciate fresh milk for cups of tea in the room.

This was the best for pet accommodation that we have ever had. The room had laminated flooring which is ideal for pets and the people who run the motel were very helpful and friendly. There was Foxtel, Netflix, and Stan available on the tv.

Nice cozy little stay. Affordable and on a lovely block of land, feels a little more country than main street motels. Little out of town but still only less than a ten minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Tamworth.
