Welcome to The Buckland Studios
We’re so excited to be able to share this special piece of paradise with you. (we live on the property too!)
As long-time locals, the areas surrounding The Buckland, (Porepunkah and Bright) hold special significance for our family.
A true local at heart, Dave was born and bred in Porepunkah. He’s called this area home for most of his life. Even after time spent travelling the world, it still called him back.
Dave and Mel met in Bright, 20 years ago. Originally from Geelong Mel was here working for the ski company at Mt Hotham.
Together, they moved to Geelong and did the regional city life for 10 years.
However, Porepunkah still called to our hearts, and so we moved back with our three children in tow - Elsie now 15, Otis 13 and Millie 11
In 2019, they purchased The Buckland from Sabine and Eddie, who created something truly magical here. Set on 40 stunning acres, The Buckland is a working farm, surrounded by pristine bushland.
Dave is a plumber by trade, and Mel's background is in hospitality. I’m also a massage therapist (although these days most of my time is happily spent preparing our guest spaces).

Arriving at The Buckland Studios couples bed and breakfast, you’re met with the encompassing quiet of the bushland and breathtaking Alpine views.
Set on 40 acres, each Studio (5 studios in total on the property) offers complete privacy - your very own piece of paradise.
However- We are sharing our delightful property with you. We are also surrounded by other working farms and vineyards.
Farming equipment like tractors, mowers, scare guns, harvest machinery, etc. may at times cause considerable noise, in particular during harvest time (usually from about mid February to early April).
Our studios are well insulated and double glazed and most farming activities are limited to day time hours.
However, we wish to advise our guests that we don’t have any control over noise generated from farming activities outside our property and are therefore unable to accept responsibility in any form. To avoid disappointment, please take this into consideration when making a booking.
Please note- we dont accept group bookings- ie more than 1 booking per guest.
