Love the countryside, particularly the beautiful shades of colours. The Standing Stones are an exceptional tourist attraction. I also love going to the Crofter's Cottage and the Strawberry Patch.

The external appearance looks dated, but the rooms themselves were clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. A microwave would have been handy. Reception was open till late, as opposed to the 5pm closing time on booking.com. Nothing flash, but good value for money .Good for a short stay.

Town has a lovely unpretentious gracious feel, beautiful old buildings and stately homes, friendly staff in shops, great pizza and a great fish and chips/takeaway in the main street. Friendly locals who smile and say hello!

Glen Innes is a very interesting town. The information shop was extremely good.A visit to the Granite stones on the hill is well worth a visit. We spent some time up there. The town is also interesting, with the variety of shops .and buildings. Most enjoyable area.

The town is great and the locals are as well.

The town is great and the locals are as well. The motel is tired and our room lacked maintenance but was clean. We had issues with the shower getting the temperature correct (never) the A/C rattled the windows consistently, the noisy and dirty extraction fan and also missing a cover, the TV remote didn’t work and I couldn’t be bothered trying to get new batteries for it or reporting it. The electric blanket on the LH side worked but only on three, so you cooked. Eating out in town there was plenty of places. I will be more diligent with the ratings for future stays! 7.3 is too high.

Good size room, air con kept us warm. Loved there were actual plates, bowls, cutlery, decent sized coffee mugs and glasses in your room. Nice hot shower. Added bonus was a little note pad and pen. Its just those little extras that helps show they are considering guests. Owner is friendly and helpful. These are new owners who are gradually updating the hotel and highly receptive to constructive feedback, which is very appreciative. Will most definitely return.

Sapphire Cottage proved a great location for our stay in Glen Innes. Spacious, bright and airy with all you’d need for self-catering. Close to town with a relaxing outdoor area. Loved the wood burning stove and the roses in the large garden. Definitely a decided cut above all those bland country motels. We came to participate in The Goodness Gravel cycling event and will be hoping to stay at Sapphire Cottage again next year.

Beautiful old bank building converted into lovely guest house. Very comfy and spacious. Open fireplace in the shared lounge area. Excellent traditional guesthouse (not motel) style rooms. Shared kitchen for making tea and coffee. Well located in Glen Innes. In the main shopping street, not on the highway. Opposite a traditional hotel and close to cafes and shops. Very friendly and informative host. Breakfast was great.

Location was great. Could walk to everything in town and we spent time in the hotel (meals, bars, coffee shop, breakfast room, verandah) which was a bonus as we had 2 other couples in our group who also stayed at the hotel. The few staff were very friendly and did what they could to serve us which was hard for them as there weren't really enough staff for all the jobs.

The motel room was quite spacious and had enough room for us two and our two little dogs. The room was clean and quiet. The sheets were nice and soft. And the level of warm/coolness in the room was ideal for us. We have stayed in other pet motels and this is one of the better ones.

clean room, electric blanket control had black tape on it which meant dodgy, terrible soap and shampoo, no conditioner, old towels, screen door lock broken, terrible milk supplied, the whole hotel needs desperate updating for the price they charge. Chinese owned which says it all.

Is in a quite location, & an easy walk to the main street. The room is clean & tidy, has bunk beds which are a bonus and the main bed is comfortable. These units are good value for money and the staff are extremely friendly. Will stay again when next passing through Glen Innes.

The location was good. The room was new in appearance. The towels were the whitest I had seen in a hotel in a long time. Hotel staff were very helpful. Dinner on Sunday night was not a broad menu but the food was very good and the waiting staff were helpful.
