When i visited Yamba is was hammering down with rain which i guess is unusual. It made my short stay a bit bland as the beach was off and the town was very wet. However, i noticed two very busy restaurants, a nice little collection of shops and takeaways. a few drinking holes etc. Id say when the sun is shining it looks a 100% more appealing.
Im told the surfing is great but not my thing. wortha visit if youre a surfer or just travelling up the coast. lots of waterways, pelicand, wildlife.
Its just off the highway so easy access and when youre there you feel like youre in the middle of nowhere so that works!
Worth a trip for 2-4 days in my opinion.

Local restaurants are varied and offer good quality food and service.
Golf Club offers a championship layout and the bar and eatery ate excellent.
A visit to the boutique brewery - eatery (The Wobbly Chook) is a must.

Yamba is the most delightful place, I would live there if I could. Everything is so convenient. Restaurants are great, and I very rarely come home without a new pair of shoes - the shoe shop is excellent.

Yamba is lovely, beaches, fishing, golf, there is plenty to do . Be very careful where you stay , that is the key. The sands is great, be wary of the Cove, please note they are owned by the same organisation, I am just being honest.

I only stayed overnight on my way from QLD to VIC so didn't get to see much of the town. It seemed like a nice little seaside town though and would have loved to be able to stay longer to explore it.

Thank you.
Thank you. We stayed in the apartment and loved every minute. You have thought of all the little extras . Would have stayed longer but already booked. 100% we will be back. Very quick to respond, helpful and pleasant to deal with. ❤️
The units are close to all the shops and some of the Yamba beaches. That's great if you want to wander in to get a coffee, or have a meal and not worry about driving. We love Pippi Beach, on the other side of Yamba, which we just drove to. We now find several places we used to stay in, on the Pippi Beach side, are too expensive. Adrift is excellent value, especially compared to The Sands. We didn't get to meet any staff but everything was accessible and texts were quickly responded to, thank you, Sue.
The Carmel was such an excellent place to stay on our recent trip to Yamba. Awesome location, walk to shops and restaurants. Right across the road from the river, beautiful walk into town.
Rooms were clean and really nicely decorated. Our room was so nice we decided to buy some seafood and wine and stay in for the night.
The staff were just so lovely, really friendly and welcoming.
We only had one night at The Carmel, wish we had longer.
Secluded woodland site but close to Yamba beaches and shopping centre. Early morning bird chorus softly awakened us for a quiet cup of tea when no other guests had arisen for breakfast or to use the pool. The Cunjevoi Restaurant has a good wine list, interesting boutique beers and the prices of food and drinks was at the upper end of acceptable. Not much different to that charged in any Australian regional town.
This is the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. It felt like a hotel (granted we had a private room). It was so clean. The bedroom had its own flat screen TV and bathroom had toiletries. The staff were so friendly. The cafe area has been converted to a micro-brewery. We tasted some beers and they were great. I would stay here again, it feels good to support local staff doing such a great job.
The location was great and the house had plenty of space for us all. We ate mostly at the accommodation and used all the kitchen facilities as well as the laundry. It has just about everything you need which is fab!
The staff at First National were great at handling everything and were always friendly when I spoke with them. Nothing was a bother and that was appreciated!
The location was excellent, on top of the hill at Yamba. Close to great walking along the ocean, beach, and also easy walk to food/town-centre/cafes. Terry the host was also great - very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and newly renovated.
The location as great and in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go around Yamba. The views from the property were great, as well, especially form the large deck. The house was great, deck was huge, couch was comfy and beds were so cozy.
The location is breathtaking, sweeping views of the sea in an old-style hotel which has recently been done up (at least our 'signature rooms' were very nice - maybe not all the rooms as the bar area and other aspects seemed pretty dated!)
Location to the beach and main centre of Yamba was excellent. We had a 3 BR locked off for us to be a 1 BR which was excellent as it afforded us a lot more space. The apartment was excellent.
Wonderful friendly hosts. Great communication. Exceptionally clean. Excellent location - close to all facilities. Would definitely stay again on my next Yamba visit.
