We just needed to find a reasonably priced hotel to sleep in overnight that didn't look like you'd get murdered in. This was a pleasant surprise and very clean and comfortable too. Near a major shopping centre and a tavern (with interesting locals) but i would definitely stay here again especially for the price, friendly staff and comfy bed.
Located in Forster, Hotel Forster offers rooms with air conditioning and cable TV. Breakfast can be served to your room. Facilities include a swimming pool.
The restaurants and cafes are fantastic. A tour on Wallis lake is a must to do when in Forster. If you have kids take them to the Lions Club Putt Putt Golf and Trampolines, it is cheap and great fun, whilst supporting a charity.

What a stunning view from the front balcony, we even saw dolphins! Four winds was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever experienced. Even suppling TimTams. Our stay was amazing and we wished we could have stayed longer.

What we liked most was that it was close to a cafe across the road from us where we had breakfast.I would recommend to book as it was quite busy.It was also close to the hotel where we had a couple of cold beers & also we had tea there one night. There are quite a few nice shops in the main street of forster.

Foster is beautiful, quiet with nice places to eat & great beaches. We love the bridge joining Forster & Tuncurry. Nice friendly community & we enjoyed the Sunday church service at Holy Name of Jesus. Great to see the pelicans & dolphins as we strolled around the river
I was well surprised, photos and descriptions did not do it justice. I was devastated about leaving in 2 days for another hotel once I got there.
Beautiful, modern, clean, great living room, great kitchen, great rooms and the best bathroom.
So many things provided which are not usually included in units or cabins, like lots of toilet paper!
My kids loved this place too.
We had one of many BBQ’s right in front of our place and also the pool and tennis court.
Also, so close to everything. I will definitely be visiting again.
There’s nothing we didn’t like about this property.
The location was amazing! Walking out of the driveway and 1 minute down the track straight to the beach was one of the highlights of our weekend
The garden unit was clean and perfect for a family of 4 (including a 5month old)
The staff were exceptionally accommodating, any questions we had we answered with a speedy response.
Would definitely recommend!
This will be our go to Forster stay in future!
Thanks a bunch for a great mini holiday
It was fine for a short stay on the way down south, The value for money was excellent, and Forster/Tuncurry is a beautiful place. The facilities were clean and well-kept. The area was spacious and there was plenty of room in the cabin. The beds are a bit worn and the lining is wearing off but quite comfortable, and the cabins have lots of beds.
This hotel was unbelievable. The bed was sooo comfortable and the room was very modern and clean. The room service was very affordable with large portions and was delicious. The owners are friendly and accommodating and go above and beyond for their guests. We didn't want to leave and will happily return soon. This place was by far the best!
This is our 3rd stay at Hotel Forster as we travel down the east coast from Brisbane to Sydney. The Hotel has fabulous service as often we are late arriving and the beds are super comfortable. The room is always very clean and it is in a fabulous location!
The room was clean, had amenities I wasn't expecting such as haridryer and tea & coffee.
The drink vouchers to the bowling club next door was a great surprise.
An ideal location with a short walk to the beach and great value for money.
Location was fantastic!!! So close to walking tracks, beach... etc. Place was great!! Providing your own linen was a new one for us... but ok. Cheaper to pop into Kmart and grab your own sheets and towels. Loved Foster and Tuncurry!!
Apartment in The Oceanic building, not the hotel itself. Absolute beachfront with magnificent views. Still very comfortable despite no air conditioning with ceiling fans providing cooling during hottest March days in decades!
The apartment was close to the beach and the main street of Forster. It was a very comfortable apartment with air conditioning, a fully functional kitchen, laundry, extra blankets and a comfy lounge and television.
Had an emergency on Christmas day which meant I needed a hotel in Forster. Checked in during the manager's lunch, and despite this, he was polite and very helpful (thanks Wayne). Room clean had all we needed.
Located just far enough from the busy centre but an easy walk to everything, the property was well located. Nice view and living areas very comfortable. Lift made access very easy from the secure carpark.
This is our second stay in Foster and Wallis, we stay a bit longer than last time, the room are clean and the bed are comfy. it's at walking distance to the main beach and all other restaurant and shop.
Great location in a quiet street around the corner from the shopping centre of Forster. Easy walking distance to the beach. Comfortable clean room, very good value for money. Friendly helpful staff.
We had excellent beds, the place was in a nice location, Forster is a lovely little town with beautiful surroundings, the hotel was very clean and supplied everything you need for a night's stay
Clean and comfortable with a great hot shower. It’s location 100m from Forster’s main Street made it ideal for accessing our meals and walks across the bridge to Tuncurry and around the marina.
