Close to the city centre and beach yet distant from busy areas.
We have changed our name to the El Motor Inn, changed from El Paso Motor Inn. Offering free WiFi, El Motor Inn is just 5 minutes' walk from The Hastings River.

Quite modern hotel in downtown MacQuarie with ample parking (garage and courtyard). We had a very friendly welcome and there was another guy from the staff we encountered several times and who was always willing to tell us something about the town or the animals we had seen around. The room was third floor, reachable by elevator and nice and comfortable. Comfy beds and a big bathroom. There's also a Cafe in the hotel that serves a nice breakfast. The hotel is in walking distance to everything in downtown and at the waterfront.
Waters Edge Port Macquarie is located along the picturesque Hastings River, between Settlement City and Port Central Shopping Centers. Free parking is provided.

The view was amazing -we sat outside having breakfast on verandah as the view was so inviting,
Everything else was just great.
Also I was about to carry my suitcase upstairs when a lovely lady staff member said let me do that for you.
Also the young man at the desk when we checked in also had offered to help us upstairs so staff were excellent

Clean town, good beach, plenty of restaurants and a very good bowls club for dinner, remember to take id. Stopped overnight going and returning from Victoria/ Queensland. There are some good motels just back from the beach.

Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye. PMQ case in point
Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye. PMQ case in point
Pros
- The beaches would be among the best in the world.
- Greenery
- Nature attractions/urban wildlife
- Improvements on waterfront world class
- Beach walkway from Town to Lighthouse beach amazing.
Cons
- Roads are simply appalling in many places, just pothole covers holding hands and a should be a real embarrassment to local council, though looks in places they have started fixing the problem
- High elderly and low socio-economic population, kind of depressing local population
- Population/development explosion, high rents and tariffs
- Lots of hoons and bogans, exercise vigilance late at night
- Increasingly visible homeless problem
- Town is over promoted and exploited, certainly not a place to "get away from it all" anymore, its got plenty of what you came to escape, best to come outside of public and school holidays, always some pesky "festival" or event going on blocking roads and causing chaos
- Not a quaint fishing/holiday destination anymore
- If you strike a "Red Weed" season on your holiday, any beach-river activities are ruined.
-Service in most establishments is terrible

Happy and helpful staff at motel and EI restaurant.
Happy and helpful staff at motel and EI restaurant. The comfiest bed 🫠 you could ask for and walking distance to river, beach, restaurants and shopping centre. Given Free coffees upon book in for breakfast was a lovely bonus. 😊
Only disappointment was upgraded to balcony for the treat of the view of the river as shown in picture. We had a view of a car park. 😟

The Bowling Club was located at the back of the apartment building and only a short stroll away. Perfect place for dinner. Also love the restaurant at Westport for dinner. We have been there numerous times and never disappointed.
We have stayed in PM numerous times and always love coming back. Great accommodation, walks, beach and cafes. The Sea Acres Rainforest is definitely worth a visit and the food at the Cafe is lovely.

Nice Getaway.
Nice Getaway.
You can do Jet Ski at $240 per hour, and can swap drivers.
Sea Plane ride was good, but not comfortable.
Book a day in advance else you have to come back next day.
One thing is food is expensive in the place.

Vibrant town centre with lots of restaurants and harbour/...
Vibrant town centre with lots of restaurants and harbour/ estuary views. Great beaches and walks up to the lighthouse at Tacking Point. Must-do staging point if travelling by car between Brisbane and Sydney. Glad we stayed 2 nights rather than 1.
Amazing accommodation. My partner and I stayed at Sandcastles for a week and it was the best stay in Port Macquarie. We had the one bedroom with the balcony ocean view. The apartment was updated and the bed was comfy. Directly across from the apartments is Town Beach. From there you can walk into the main part of town or go for an afternoon stroll along the boardwalk hoping to see dolphins. Security is fantastic and the parking is secure as well. Also at the back of the apartments is Port City bowling club where the meals are very delicios
Large room with a small balcony with a nice view of the skyline. The room was really clean with all the facilities you'd need including a large fridge and counter space. Good local information. Was an unplanned stop in a stunning location. Port MacQuarie's beaches are extremely beautiful and the town is lively with lots of eating and leisure options. Highly recommend visiting here if you're on the east coast. Beach was a short walk from the hotel
Absolutely cracking little hotel bang in the centre of everything you need in town . Staff are all really friendly and helpful. If anyone's it some nightlife at the weekend This is the hotel to be. So I wouldn't advise coming for a quiet one. At the weekends thru the week it's very chilled food great drinks cheap enough. Handy for the bottleo in the same building for your booze and cigarettes. I will be back
Location was good. Staff were very friendly. Cleanliness in the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Not enough things like dishwashing liquid or a cloth to wipe up any spills. Cockroaches in the bathroom also. HOWEVER, I chose my accommodation in order to match what I could afford (in Port Macquarie), for 4 nights, so I’m not complaining, just offering up my feedback, as asked.
The hostel by itself is amazing (clean bedrooms and showers, swimming pool, ping pong table, pool, barbecue) but what I really liked was the vibe between everyone. People are chill, and respectful, always available to have a talk, and the services from the hostel allow us to bond really fast (cheers to the cheap surf lessons).
One of the best located hotels in Port Macquarie, right on the water with dolphins and pelicans in the view from the room, the main restaurants and cafes virtually next door, plenty of parking including EV charging spaces all supported by a friendly and helpful team. Excellent showers, friendly welcome from local pelicans!
Very welcoming, Wayne and Lisa were very professional and friendly.
Client care was exceptional.
The premises were immaculate and tidy.
I would recommend Narimba Motel if you are looking for comfort and a quiet location that is a little out of the hub of central Port Macquarie approximately 10 minute drive.
We paid a premium price for a low quality stay. A room right next to the car park, a bathroom that was mouldy and flooded. Terrible room service food. Overall, we’d be fine with this service/expectation if we hadn’t paid a 5 star price. It’s a 3 star hotel at best.
It was cheap and we were allowed to have our Pet with us, the owners were great, very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
It did have Pay TV which was a welcome surprise, Wifi worked well.
Great position in Port Macquarie . A quiet hotel with good facilities and anything you need is close. Room is spacious and kitchen facilities were very good. Great place for a 5 night stay.
Wonderful location poised between the river and the c.b.d. of Port Macquarie. Water views from the balcony and a very comfortable bed are two big plusses for any traveller.
We loved these apartments the bedrooms were great size and the kitchen had good amenities. The location is also great as the beach is just around the corner.
