Leisure Inn Spires, hotel in Leura

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains, this hotel offers peaceful studio and apartment accommodations in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The lady at reception was super helpful and very patient. She brought up the extra mattress and bed sheets for my 9 years old daughter. I definitely leave 5 stars rating for the service by the reception lady - The studio has more space than we thought and the room is clean and comfy - will go back again or recommend to friend!!

Mountain Heritage Hotel, hotel in Leura

Perched on the edge of a ridge, 984 feet from the heart of Katoomba’s town center, this 4.5-star hotel offers panoramic views of the World Heritage Blue Mountains.

The staff at reception were welcoming and let us put our bottle of champagne in the bar fridge at reception while we waited for our room to be ready. The bottle was taken to our room and put into the fridge so it was already there when we got into the room a couple of hours later. There were lots of comfortable sofas to choose from downstairs while we waited for our room. The spa bath and fireplace room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The spa was a great way to relax. We had dinner elsewhere but when we were heading out that night, there was a pianist playing and it was a lovely atmosphere, with the fire burning too. There are some lovely old photographs on the walls, and the place has a lot of character. The next morning we enjoyed a really nice breakfast and the views across the valley were beautiful. And we really liked that check out was 11am ( though check in was from 3pm). We would definitely recommend and like to return.

Carrington Hotel, hotel in Leura

656 feet from Katoomba Train Station, The Carrington offers elegant accommodations in a heritage-listed refurbished manor.

Our two days in the Blue Mountains unfortunately fell victim to the Northeaster coming in - visibility was less than 100m, sometimes even the other side of the street seemed foggy and it rained cats and dogs. So we were very happy about this cozy hotel! It is historic and well-preserved (but of course with all modern amenities you need in the rooms). Fun to explore the different rooms, there's a nice bar and somewhere they have hidden away a brewery it seems. Oh, and the dining room... Great - had a good breakfast there (we had enjoyed dinner in the other brewery in town). The room was a bit smaller than expected, but for one night it was ok. It was quiet and we slept very well. There is a new parking garage next to the hotel - only disadvantage is, that you are exposed to the elements when you walk over there.

Leura is a picturesque quient town with a selection of independent shops and cafés. It is in a great location to visit the Blue Mountains and all the surrounding visitor attractions it has to offer. It also has a local train station for trips to adjacent towns. Katoomba is only a 10 minutes or less drive away for a greater selection of supermarkets, stores and dining/drinking options, if required.

Leura is a lovely town with a plethora of eating places within walking distance. The Alexandra Hotel, circa 1908, is a modern bistro setting within a grand dining room and quality al fresco veranda seating as well as classical beer garden furniture in a large grassed area overlooking the railway line and great scenery beyond. The hotel can be reached along a quick track beside the Leura Station which stands at the top of the main street. A special treat is High Tea at the Teapot Museum (5,000+ teapots) at the other end of the main street. Opportunities for walks and sightseeing are endless, either by foot or car or the Hop On Hop Off bus. The scenery and feeling of well being due to the natural environment cannot be measured.

Great central location in the Blue Mountains.

Great central location in the Blue Mountains. Peaceful little village that had everything, but without the hustle of a city, or even Katoomba. Only 8 minutes from the 3 sisters, scenic world, Minnie haha falls etc. Fantastic places to eat, right near Spires Accommodation.

OMG what a beautiful little town. The main street is packed with beautiful artisan shops and cafes (cafes most closed by 3pm but there is an exceptional one there offering loads of yummy stuff for you or gifts for others). Close to many tourist attractions too. LOVE LUEURA.

Great for a break from the kids.

Great for a break from the kids. Not too long a drive from Sydney. Good roads and accomodation, lovely people. A lot of great eateries, bakeries and cafes. Good to shop for locally produced goods or to look through antique stores. Try to book when there are weekend markets anywhere between Glenbrook and Blackheath. Especially good if the Leura Fair is on that weekend. Our go to place for a short break.

This beautiful studio and its lovely garden (including a secret little spot in the back) felt so Zen. The welcoming touches, flowers, furnishings and accessories, beautiful bathroom products, comfortable bed with quality linens were so lovely - I could go on and on. The host Lynne checked to be sure we had everything we needed. We met her briefly and she was warm and so welcoming. This was a very memorable stay in a charming town with easy and quick access to the wondrous Blue Mountains. If it is available, book it!

Good size room with microwave, toaster and full length mirror. Secure gated car parking with space allotted to the unit. Double glass slide doors to balcony to block out train noise (just need to close bathroom door to block further noise). Laundry facilities are right outside your door. Two minute walk to Leura Mall shops and supermarket. This room had more facilities than most general hotel rooms that come at twice the price.

The location was great, close to all the attractions we wanted to go to and close the lots of great shops, cafes and restaurants. It was very quiet, peaceful and private. The house itself was amazing! Extremely clean, great amenities, the beds were really comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sublime Cedar Lodge and should my group of friends and I go back to the Blue Mountains, we would definitely stay there again.

A very nicely appointed cottage with good amenities and a lovely outlook. The location is leafy and quiet and an easy drive into the township of Leura. An ideal spot to stay for a weekend or longer to explore the Blue Mountains. It was an extra treat to have all the cockatoos and parrots visit us in the backyard in the afternoons!

The house was immaculately presented and well stocked. It suited our large family, with plenty of space both inside and out to enjoy. Huge level backyard. A very short walk to Leura shops...loved leaving the car at home, now that Leura Mall and surrounding streets are metered. Definitely a place to stay in again.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, well appointed, and pleasant. Since the weather was on the cool side, we enjoyed the gas log fireplace in the living room. The cottage was close to shopping, restaurants, and the places we wanted to visit. The yard was very pretty with blooming rhododendrons.

Seriously useful location - right on Leura Mall. We were there in the horrific downpour weekend, which was freezing and cold, but the house was warm and cosy with the fire, and spacious enough for our family. The kids loved playing with the toys and the toy oven.
