We loved that the bungalow had good privacy from the other bungalows. Loved waking up to the many local roosters and fed the hens and their baby chicks. Neighbourhoods dogs also came to visit for some treats. Muri beach, cafes and shops and markets were all just a 5 minute walk away. Inside was clean and spacious. One of the hosts Chenee was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Sharnyta itself was not available but her mum and grandmum picked me up at the airport. The studio's very well equipped with a nice terrace.
Mum drop me off at the airport the next day and gave me before a little sightseeing tour. So lovely. Thank you 🙏.

It's a beautiful island with lovely locals, good food and incredible lagoon surrounding most of the island.
It is more developed and more beautiful than the outer islands of Vanuatu and much less developed than SE Asia, very much a Pacific Island but the best we have visited.
Lots of great eateries all over the island.
Wine is the same price as NZ (we love wine)
Advice:
- next time we will visit Aitutaki, which is apparently next level in terms of natural beauty, especially the lagoon
- bring your shelf stable groceries, nuts, cheeses, etc with you, unless you are eating out every meal. Supermarket foods which are imported are breathtakingly expensive. Fresh fruit and veggies and meats are reasonable, however.

The people were very friendly and accommodating.
The people were very friendly and accommodating. The views of the water were fantastic. The food at the restaurants were good.
There are great spots for snorkeling.
The price of food is very expensive, cheaper to eat takeout if you can stomach eating it that often.
The price of fuel is $290/ litre of unleaded. I filled up a full tank of fuel on a X1 BMW rental car and it cost $172.00 from Panama Service Station. They cleared the fuel bowser of the cost of the fuel which is a very unscrupulous practice.
Kukis streetwear retail store sells some great garments at a fair price.
The Manhiki Pearls sold from the various retailers are very good.

Laid back vibe, safe, friendly people, small enough to get around (one road!), warm, plenty of eateries, beautiful CLEAN beaches, swimming, kayaking and boarding in safe beaches as surrounded by a reef so no huge waves or sharks can get in (!!). Only a four-hour flight from NZ so a perfect getaway place for a week's break.

The people there couldnt be more helpful - no matter what they were asked they would help. There is a lot to do there inbetween relaxing on the beach and engaging in water sports.
A car is helpful to rent - the bus is regular from the unit but each time on and off is $5. Bikes are available to rent as well which may suit some people too.
There are a lot of dining places and bars to work your way around and always interesting.
The food is terrific with many a variety for all - their staple food is abundant and plenty of fish.

This was our 5th trip to Raro and I think that says it all.
This was our 5th trip to Raro and I think that says it all. An fabulous place for a relaxing holiday with enough to do if you want to do things but also great if you just do very little. Plenty of good eating places, and they are reasonably priced, go to Albertos if you like a good steak, and Rarotonga lager is VERY easy to drink. Swimming in the lagoon is really good with some excellent snorkelling spots. A 6th trip is definitely on the cards.

A typical Pacific Island town, easy to find what you wanted.
A typical Pacific Island town, easy to find what you wanted. Variety of restaurants, cafes, two upmarket - Tamarind and Antipodes, different styles. If staying at resorts further around Island from town, a hire car or scooter needed. There is a local bus which runs often but not at night. Roads have poor lighting so driving at night can be difficult.

Amazing atmosphere at Club Raro, superb staff who are always cheerful and happy to enhance your holiday experience. The hotel has a great layout, a fantastic bar area and a lovely restaurant. The rooms are quite basic, however they are really clean. The hotel is a perfect base to explore the island and offers value for money. This was our first visit to Cook Islands, however we will definitely visit again (soon) and we plan to stay at Club Raro again!
Fantastic all round. We had a wonderful family holiday in Rarotonga at The Edgewater. The breakfast setup is superb for families and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fantastic value for money. We stayed in the 3 Bedroom Garden Villa and it was so good for our family. Heaps of room, great clean cooking facilities, the laundry washing machine was superb and the dishwasher was awesome as well.
Had everything we needed for the purpose of our trip. It was lovely having a large private outdoor area covered and uncovered. Being close to the popular swimming and snorkeling spots was also a bonus. Our hosts were also very attentive and hospitable. A wonderful welcome for our first trip to the Cook Islands.
Great location & very attentive staff. The hotel is modern and clean and the lagoon is the best spot on the island. The food is fantastic with a good selection of drinks, staff are more than happy to help with trips etc.
