The location is convenient to visit many of the whole sale market places. Taxi drivers know the hotel very well as it is an oldest hotel in town and it is easy to give direction. The front office staffs are helpful and especially their supervisor, Ms. carmen was proactive to assist us in our queries. Excellent hospitable staff overall.

The City That Has It All

Historically known as Canton and China’s third largest city, Guangzhou is the birthplace of the most popular type of Chinese cuisine with iconic wonton soup and dim-sum. It boasts an impressive skyline, some of the oldest temples in the country and crowded markets with everything from tea to hi-tech electronics.

The busy city centre mesmerises with its futuristic architecture and beautifully lit skyscrapers but just a short trip away you can find yourself in the quiet haven of Nansha Wetland, a bird sanctuary. Rejuvenated with new energy you can then admire the traditional Cantonese architecture of Xiguan Residence, once occupied by the upper class.

One of the city’s most popular attractions, the Liurong Temple is an absolute must-see, dating back to the 6th century and featuring a 17-storey high pagoda. Make sure you don’t miss traditional buildings near Yide Road as they’re slowly being removed from the map due to the city’s rapid growth.

From a 1000-year-old lake garden, to plenty of theme parks, relaxing rolling hills and mountains, Guangzhou seems to indeed have it all! Add impressive street markets and shopping centres and you’re up for a fascinating ride.

Guangzhou Airport is a convenient metro or taxi ride away and Booking.com provides over 390 different accommodation options for you to choose from.

The citizens of Guangzhou are very friendly and helpful, it is a clean city and safe city. My favorite restaurants Oggi Trattoria, Gaga, Mi Casa, Cocoa Tree Seafood pier. Walking around the city is easy and you'll find parks, museums, and many outdoor activities. The Alipay app, this app brings DIDI, trip/air, trip/hotel, pay/receive and much more, it is safe and reliable, Your life will be much easier in China. Being able to enjoy nature and its architecture. I love this city.! Not everything can be perfect in the world, and this city is no exception. Regular taxi drivers take advantage of tourists. I recommend downloading the DIDI app, which is similar to Uber.

I wish we had more time - the city is huge and very vibrant! Beautiful pedestrian bridge over the river - just next to the Canton Tower. Plenty of parks on river banks. Yuntai gardens are incredible, worth spending the whole day there. We didn't manage to take the cable car from the gardens as it was too crowded (May 2 is holiday in China so everyone is around and about). It can get very hot in May so be prepared. Not many places to eat in the gardens (little KFC van), it's ok to go around with a stroller - lots of flowers, little hills, gardens, trees...

Guangzhou is best city to do business due to Canton Fair here twice a year. Also here are so many shopping markets to shop on Wholesale rates. Markets near Guangzhou Railway Station are good for shopping. There you can find cloths, watches, bags, shoes Replica or First copy and also Non-Brand. Lot of HALAL food options there.

Its a fantastic city with very good metro sub way connectivity. All the major spots are well connected with subway. Just one issue is people from out of china cannot create their alipay account with their local sim and they need to purchase a china sim card and then only they can create their alipay and didi account,

The museums were excellent - really recommend the 13 Hong Museum if interested in history, as I would the tomb of the Nanyue King. We visited the Guangdong museum twice. Don't forget to wander the streets - the streetscapes range from beautiful modern architecture to traditional markets (Chinese Medicine market was fantastic) and alleyways.

Roads were very clean and it was easy to walk around using short cuts through quaint alleyways which had little restaurants and sundry shops. If we wanted to go further, we used Didi - so convenient. Our favorite places were Beijing Road and the malls. The Pearl River cruise and Chimelong Safari Park are a must for travellers here.

Located in the scenic Shamian Island at the heart of Guangzhou old town - former concessions given to France and the UK, hence surrounded by nineteenth century European-style buildings, the neighbourhood is great for a walk and even better at night after everything is lit up (but it's sometimes crowded with people taking photos during daytime). The hotel itself is state of the art too with top class in-house restaurants. Dined at Jade River and had yum cha (morning tea in local Cantonese) at Hongtu Hall, both of which were exceptional.

Good size room, amazing view of the city. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom with a bath. No separate living area or balcony. Coffee pod machine, tea facilities and a paid for mini bar. Food was really nice and the executive lounge was well worth getting. We didn't fly out until late but the hotel provided a free service to let you leave your bags at reception until you were ready to go to the airport.

The hotel is 10 minutes by car from the airport and there is a free shuttle. There is a metro station nearby, 30 minutes and you are in the city center. The rooms are large and well-equipped. The price is attractive, booking is more convenient. There is also a shuttle from the hotel to the airport.

Great price. The front of house staff were very helpful. The airport transfer was extremely reliable & runs all day. The hotel is fine to sleep for a day stop over in Guangzhou. It is probably 2-3 star by western standards & we were fine with that because it's good value.
