the hotel is very good and the rooms are spacious. The beds were comfortable. The location is a bit on the countryside and the place is quiet and relaxing. There are few shops around like restraints and grocery store.
Rostock was an influential Hanseatic League port, and shipping remains big business. Ferries from the modern port link the city to Denmark, Sweden and Finland across the Baltic Sea.
On the other side of the Warnow River is the Maritime Museum. The Neue Messe exhibition centre is just south, while north is the seaside town of Warnemünde, now considered part of greater Rostock. Its sandy beach ends at the innovatively designed Teapot. The next door lighthouse guards the entrance to the river which runs parallel to cobbled Alexandrinenstraße with its colourful half-timbered bungalows.
Rostock’s oldest part is the furthest inland and centres on the Old Market, overlooked by St Peter’s Church whose spire offers fabulous views across the rooftops. The New Market is lined by gabled houses and the porticoed town hall, and houses north Germany’s largest Christmas market, watched over by towering St Mary’s Church.
Shops line pedestrian Kröpeliner Straße leading from here past University Square, the new city centre. Rostock University is one of the oldest in northern Europe and nearby are parts of the medieval walls and a former city gate. Beyond is the KTV district, home of the best nightlife.
Booking.com’s accommodation ranges from hotels near the train station to cheap apartments and guest houses near Rostock-Laage Airport.

Rostock is a charming Hanseatic city and this is clearly seen in the city centre and Old Town. There are plenty of redbrick gothic marvels including churches, towers and city gates. A short local train trip away is the completely different seaside resort of Warnemünde with its extensive sandy beach and typical German smart coastal architecture. A bonus of a December visit is the wonderful Christmas market where traditional mulled wine, beer, spirits, sweet and savoury food, and handicraft products are sold from brightly lit and decorated huts.

Beautiful place right in the center of town. Lots of facilities and restaurants around.
The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The spa on the top was really nice (it's nudist so think about it before you take your kids there).
The staff is friendly and kind.

Rostock is the largest city of the state of Mecklenburg-...
Rostock is the largest city of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pommerania with a fair bit of history dating back to when it first received the city rights of a free city in 1218. It is known for its closeness to some of the best beaches in Germany as well as the university (founded in 1419) and the FC Hansa Rostock football club. Make sure you pay a visit to Marienkirche (St Mary's church) and Warnemünde (beach suburb). Plenty of ferry links to Scandinavia, too.

Rostock is a great place to visit all year round, but especially when the Christmas market is on. Slightly more traditional / less touristy than Berlin, Hamburg etc. Make sure to bring proper winter clothes, though.

The waterfront is filled with open spaces to enjoy the views. There are many wide walking areas and floating museums which add to the historical part of Rostock. This is a city which blends old architecture with new beautifully. A slight hill to the city's square sets the scene beautifully as mid-rise properties, often mixed use, are adorned with flowers and interesting windows and facades. I would like to return. I recommend Borwin restaurant on the waterfront and the ferry to Warnemunde from here (could be one-way). Ship building and commerce on the seas is an eye opener. Note the animals on rooftops.. Rostock has fun with sailing, music fests, etc.

This is probably one of the cheapest location in Rostock, and the price reflects the quality. The building is quite ugly, but inside the rooms are fine. The hotel is located just in front of the tramway stop, so you can easily get to the center. You can also walk (approx. 20 min.). There is a small shoping center nerby.
It was a lovely, clean and peaceful hotel.. perfect for a quiet stay and only 5 minutes walk from Rostock centre. Close to a Lidl and Edeka as well.
Bed was comfy and I had very deep sleeps there.
As a solo female traveller, this was a comfortable and safe place to stay.
Got a free upgrade for my room which was very comfortable. An EV charger is available on the free parking area of the hotel.. You get a free public transport pass at the reception. Tram 5 in front of the apart hotel will bring you in a few minutes to the center.
