Guest reviewGreat place to relax away from city life. Peaceful. Yet, even the locals were enjoying the beer garden. We had 4 meals there in 2 days. All were good and a good value. Clean, comfortable rooms. Homey and warm atmosphere, beautiful setting.

The city itself of Kaiserslautern is teeming with life downtown, and it's got plenty to do for fun and delicious food within a 15 minute walk from most hotels. Just don't cheap out on where you stay or you can get seriously jipped. We ate the best sushi I've had in Germany and visited the japanese garden. Very cool experience. The town is beautiful, walkable, safe - with many fascinating shops, restaurants and outdoor cafes, public parks, delicious bakeries, and some impressive things for tourists to visit - two museums each of which was excellent (one had a touring exhibit of an internationally famous modern artist, the other is a local history museum which is fascinating), the Japanese garden, the synagogue memorial - which was beautifully thought out, understated, and sensitive - and because Kaiserslautern is so close to Ramstein, everyone in the shops and restaurants speaks English and they understand, and are kind to, confused American tourists! Everyone I met was courteous, helpful, friendly. I choose this hotel because it was an excellent price for the location. It was very quite and clean. The shower and WC are not in the room but on the same floor. It is the perfect hotel for people who need to be alone in a room but don´t want to pay lot of money.
