It was a fully stocked lower level of the home where the host lived. It met our needs beautifully; nice to have the kitchen, our own rooms. Very nice to have some coffee in the morning!

I have stayed in the 2* Hotel Canal in Unquera for a week in early October almost every year since 2015 while attending an annual classic motorcycle rally in neighbouring Colombres.
Unquera is a small town near to the coast on the border of Calabria and Asturias. It is on one of the more popular Camino routes and close to the Picos de Europa.
The town has several bars, restaurants and basic shops. I would not describe Unquera as a tourist destination, but as a working town with all of the usual facilities of a small community. I like it for that.
Great clean place right on the Camino and very economical. The staff was great, room was very clean and it is in a great location for a peligrino. This hotel has a restaurant and breakfast was included and the food was excellent. But you also have options nearby to eat. There is a grocery store nearby. A dated hotel but I really slept well and felt secure. I would rather have dated furniture and a safe and comfortable bed than the opposite. I do recommend for peligrinos and others!
Have stayed here almost every year since 2015 while attending the Colombres Classic Motorcycle Rally in early October. This is a basic 2* hotel with very friendly staff that is located in town with access to a choice of bars and restaurants.
This stay was a one-nighter on return from a trip to Portugal following the rally, having spend seven nights here the previous week. Love it!
A practical convenient hotel which was much better than expected. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. It is directly on the Camino del Norte and is well located. Our room included a breakfast which was basic but good (freshly squeezed orange juice was great).
A simple value hotel with exceptional staff team. Nothing was too much trouble. Ideal location for the Camino del Norte. Great price. Thank you. Everything was spotlessly clean. Huge room.
Decent apartment with kitchen and washing machine, useful if you need to stop over in Unquera. Just a few minutes walking between Bustio (Arenas, Picos) and Unquera (Santander) bus stops.
