Daniela made check in a positive experience. The welcome drink is a blessing with the dehydration of travel. I had help with luggage so I could have heating / cooling system explained. I used both the pool and the gym.

The staff are absolutely amazing. It is like staying with good friends. They are obviously very happy working there and take pride in this beautiful hotel. They always take time for a chat. The hotel itself is very lovely. An amazing infinity pool with jacuzzi, everything spotlessly clean. There is also an open fire to sit comfortably around when the evenings get a bit chilly. The food was excellent. Nothing more you could need for the breakfast with friendly Sarah making sure you had everything you needed and even supplying extra cushions for me. Lunch also great and the evening meals were very very good, especially the barbecues of different cuts of meat and lovely fresh fish. Cannot fault it!

    I have not visited Maspalomas for about fifteen years,and headed for the Yumbo Centre,where most of the night life,bars and restaurants are. It has really deteorated,and looks very tired.The bars and restaurants are still good,but the actual framework of the centre needs serious investment.Quite scruffy overall.

    The area is lovely and just a stone's throw from El Faro, where all the best restaurants and shops are and also a stone's throw to Yumbo shopping centre and very entertaining night life. It's far enough away from both to be tranquil, but only a few euros in a taxi.

    The whole resort of Maspalomas is very upmarket with lots of lovely restaurants, bars and shops. The standard of the food and service in the restaurants and bars is fantastic and very friendly. The beach backed by the sand dunes and nature reserve is beautiful and the sunsets over the lighthouse and sea front are exceptional, with many coming to watch in the evening. There is a bus station in town with regular local buses to other resorts, the market at Puerto de Mogan each Friday and the city of Las Palmas, which is definitely worth a visit. We stayed there for a week one year and it is a vibrant and historic city, with a wonderful cathedral, a thriving food scene, designer shops and a magnificent beach.

    Maspalomas has very nice parts around the resorts and beach, nice promenade along the sea, but if you go a little bit away, there is not much to see. I believe,there is nothing like a city center. The parking close to beach and promenade was good accesible and not expensive. There are very good restaurants around the promenade.

    There are lots of nice restaurants and tapas bars in Maspalomas. It's easy to walk around although there are plenty of taxis if you need one and they are very good value. The wildlife reserve and sand dunes are interesting.

    It was fine depending upon what you are looking for. I just wanted a couple of days in the sun at winter. For that it was perfect but ordinarily Maspalamos would not be my ideal destination. Too touristy and with no real culture. Nice restaurant nearby - Samsara.

    Large room, private pool. A very beautiful and large palm park in the hotel area. Hotel is right next to the Maspalomas dune. Rich and tasty breakfast, very large selection. If the price does not include dinner, you can order it for an additional price. €36 per person. The choice is huge. The food is prepared fresh. The hotel is right next to a large beach. Depending on the wind and waves, stones appear on the bottom of the water. So it's better to go to Ingles beach, where there are no stones at all.

    We liked Maspalomas/ Meloneras area from many perspectives, but about the hotel Los Calderones we especially liked the location in quiet area and being close enough to beach and restaurants to walk, hotel facilities and room in general, wide selection of options for breakfast, pool area, live music at the bar area every evening, BUT above all the nice and friendly and supportive personnel at the reception. Muchas gracias and we consider to return :)

    First time staying at a Riu hotel and we had a fabulous time. Room was modern and bed was comfortable. Hotel common areas were very clean. Location was perfect, Near to beach. Loved the coffee shop near the reception! All staff wonderfull. The receptionist in Belgium is not included.

    We had a lovely holiday. The hotel is in a good location. There is a shop, atm, bus stop from which you can reach visiting places or beach near the hotel. It was really quiet during the day, sunbeds are always available. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very clean.
