Tui was gorgeous, wish I could have stayed longer than one quick night but was meeting up with friends on the Camino and had to move on. So many good restaurants as well and the river walk is lovely! If you're on the Camino, stop at Albergue Ideas Peregrinas for their breakfast. It's a full-service cafe with strong coffee and American breakfasts with the nicest toasted baguettes. They have a store as well attached with Camino provisions - ponchos, poles with rubber tips, hats, shorts, wool socks, all high quality.

Very historic old town.
Very historic old town. It used to be the capital of Galicia. Beautiful cathedral. Location next to Mindo river makes it very special as well. Strolling along the river, with Tui lingering above was a delight.

Tui was bigger than I expected.
Tui was bigger than I expected. It is a very interesting town close to the Portuguese border and has many historical buildings. There are lots of bars to choose from - El Pilar being our favourite. The old cathedral is worth a visit to view the architecture and there are some lovely walks along the riverside.

Restaurant/cafes near Albergue Pallanes were not open for food in the evening when local referrals were given but a nearby supermarket was well stocked. The kitchen at the Albergue provided all that was required for meal preparation. Only stayed one night. At the end of a days travel/walking Tui restaurants were a step too far away.

Tui is a great historical location, with enough modern conveniences for most. It is a great centre for touring and is located close to the border with Portugal It is also conveniently located, for walkers, on The Camino Portugues.
This was our first stop in Spain after walking the Camino from Porto. The hotel is beautiful and close enough to the old town to make walking there, even for tired hikers. We had a very good lunch and they opened for a cup of coffee the next morning so we had some fuel for the next part of the Camino. Also the contrast between the size of this place - which I think was part of the Spanish defense - with the fortress in Valenca was stunning. One side was a lot more threatened than the other.
Very nice Albergue, I took a single room with private bath. Lovely building, location about a 15 min walk from centre of Tui. One of the nicest stays along the whole route for me - in Santiago in two days (May 2, 2022). A great combination of Albergue friendliness with the privacy of a private room with ensuite if you like it. A very firm 10/10 from me.
Perfect spot to start the camino. Comfortable rooms, private bathrooms. About a 5 minute walk to the cathedral to pick up credentials. The staff were very nice and welcoming. Wifi worked great. Very close the center of town, walking distance to restaurants. The hotel faces one of the main streets, though I found it very quiet.
The apartment is is the middle of the historic centre of Tui, close to all the restaurants, supermarket and cathedral. It has everything you want in an apartment. Even though It was 33 degrees outside, the apartment remained very cool, due the thick walls. Lino is also a very nice host and highly responsive.
This is an amazing hotel in a historic building in walking distance to the town center. Great views across the river into Portugal. Breakfast was excellent and included. Our group of friends was able to get a bottle of wine and a snack from management and enjoyed it in the central living room after dinner.
The apartment in Tui is amazing. I had a wonderful time there and Sergio is a very attentive host. It’s walking distance to everything and is well equipped. The place is nicely decorated and I would’ve stayed longer… It’s clean, has good wifi and even coffee, tea and little snacks.
I’ll be back 😊
Absolutely perfect😀 beautiful place to stay after a long day walking.... Right in the heart of Tui - very clean, staff was super friendly.... I loved it and highly recommend it. I was sad I couldn't stay longer, but I hope I'll come back at some point just to enjoy the town a bit better.
The property was almost impossible to find. Our Portuguese taxi driver could not locate it. There are no street signs and nothing on the property to say "Casita en Tui Centro", or what street it was in. The host spoke very little English.
This hotel is very conveniently located on the Camino Portugues. The hotel is very elegant, super vlean and offers easy access to Tui cathedral and restaurants. Great value for money. Excellent breakfast.
Everything was amazing, the crew was friendly and informative about the attractions nearby, the facilities are wonderful, its a bit out from Tui but it’s on the camino route and it’s worth it
Jesús was so friendly and helpful. He made us feel welcome straight away. big spacious property with everything you need in the heart of Tui’s historic centre. excellent value for money.
One of the newest and best run Convent Albergues for pilgrims in Tui. Clean and comfortable and designed for pilgrims with a lot of different social spaces.
