It's like a fairytale city which I always wanted to visit.
It's like a fairytale city which I always wanted to visit. It's so quiet and nice.
For dinner the restaurants are open from 7 pm to 9:30 pm or latest 10 pm.
Prices are a bit too high though. Around 25 euros only for the main dish for a person.
There are not coffee specialty places. Wherever I bought a cappuccino it was not the best, quite average I would say if you are a coffee lover.

Colmar is in a great location for people interested in the wineries of Alsace. We booked a private wine tour and visited several beautiful old villages and three wineries. I highly recommend this activity. We also highly recommend the Unterlinden Museum (the Issenheim Altarpiece is amazing) and the Bartholdi Museum. If you are able to prepare your own meals, the covered market in Colmar is a great place to shop for local foods and produce and it is located near Little Venice, so it's a scenic stroll. We took the bus to see the replica Statue of Liberty and I wouldn't recommend this activity unless you have a car. The statue is situated on an extremely busy roundabout so we were unable to get close to it - I'm really not sure how people on Instagram managed to get their amazing photos. Finally, if you are travelling during Lent, check to see when the Colmar Carnaval is being held. We personally did not enjoy the noise and the crowds, but we weren't expecting it since we didn't know about the Carnaval before travelling.

Colmar is a charming place to visit, with fantastic dining options and wonderful stores, including clothing stores, shoe stores, art and antique shops as well as gourmet shops and grocery stores offering everything one could hope for. It is also convenient to other nearby destinations of interest, making it a good starting point as well as a nice place to come home to in the evening because of its multitude of bars, cafes and dining facilities. If you’re traveling with pets, please be aware the taxi cabs are not user friendly if you have dogs, large or small. We we forced to walked from the train station in rainstorms each way because we couldn’t get a taxi that would help us. And management at the Coton apartment leasing Group, while saying they would call us back when we asked for assistance, simply didn’t. They never called back.

Bathroom shower has black mold.
Bathroom shower has black mold. Towels all over the floor from previous reservation, dirty pillow case left in the bathroom, human hair on bathroom and sink. We complain to the receptionist and she state the will take care of the mold situation the next day. That never happened. Mold was in the shower for the entire stay. Day receptionist full of negative attitude. Key of bedroom stop working after every use. We have our keys re program several times a day( every time we enter the room card key need to be reprogram) Front receptionist Lady blaming us for carrying the card key in our pocket and messing up the card key

It is a lovely town very picturesque, beautiful.
It is a lovely town very picturesque, beautiful. People very friendly and helpful. Came to visit Christmas markets - exceptional. In the evening when we came back all places were closed. Must check which nights are functional before you go. 🙃
The location is ideal and the hosts have a wonderful slice of heaven within this quaint town. Breakfast was delicious though we had to rush through it to catch a train (1.5 blocks from the train station and a 10-minute walk into the heart of town).
We booked two rooms for our family of 4 and they were fantastic. They were on the 1st floor of the inn and allowed for plenty of space. We were extremely comfortable, particularly in the air-conditioned rooms since there was quite a heat wave occurring in France.
This apartment has a great location near the centre of Colmar. It is small but has everything you need.We did experience some problems with the drainage. We contacted Claude and although unable to resolve the issue, it was a Sunday, he offered us alternative accommodation. The alternative accommodation was a little further from the centre of the town, but was a really great apartment.
Hotel was in a great location with walking distance to Colmar historic district. there was construction on the main street so we were told to park in the public parking garage across the street. Breakfast was great with freshly pressed orange juice and local pastries and you could boil your own egg. One staff named Lola was very nice and gave us great tips for the area.
Good size, clean room overlooking airfield with plenty of parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, plenty of choice and nice to sit outside in the sun to enjoy it. Did use the swimming pool in the afternoon but the water was a little chilly. Good location, was able to walk across the road from the hotel and get a bus into Colmar Centre.
Colmar is a great town to visit. The hotel location was very central to everything. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station. . . The host/service met me at the room with a key and explained amenities. . . The weather was hot. There was no air condition, but the host supplied a fan, which was perfect! . . I would stay here again.
The accommodation was exceptional!
The location was perfect, situated in the centre of Colmar old town.
The apartments were beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could need.
The concierge Franck was extremely welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay.
We would definitely stay here again.
The host is one of the best that we’ve had in France. Very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The apartment is ideally situated in central Colmar and having a parking space was incredibly helpful. Also for those looking to buy wine….there is an excellent wine shop across the street.
Location with free parking and 15 min walk to the city centre was very comfortable for us. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really good, with even some oat milk and soy milk available!
I highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Colmar.
The location is just 5 mins away from the central touristic areas on foot (Quite close to Unterlinden museum) Room is not spacious, but spotless, and cozy, especially the AC works so well to cool down the hot temperature of France in the middle of summer.
Ibis is Ibis. If you are familiar with the concept, you know what you get. The hotel was chosen because of parking possibility and the distance to the old city centre (5 minutes of waking).
The hotel is located in the middle of a beautiful city centre park, close to Little Venice. Colmar was a great choice for our stopover, with safe parking for our car
Very nice staff, convenient parking, extremely clean, welcoming atmosphere, easy walk to historic part of Colmar. The hotel is dog-friendly, a huge plus!
