We did not explore the area around the hotel but it looked interesting as we drove out to the south. We are in our 80's and the ground floor room was spacious and it was an easy walk across to the restaurant. Friendly English owners.

Despite being on the river there was no water noise once inside the apartment. Views over the Charente from the large roof terrace are amazing, particularly at sunset. The concierge service was also impeccable. Plenty of free parking only a short walk away in the centre of town or nearby side streets. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a base within the Cognac countryside.

Well situated within walking distance of Jarnac town centre and only a short drive away from Cognac. Our hosts were charming and couldn't do enough for us.
