The outdoor Saturday market is extensive and well-attended and the 1864 fish market building is more than would ever have been imagined. Lots of lovely restaurants and easy striking distance for lots of beaches/towns and chateaux. The only downer is Bordeaux airport which had a dreadful hangar for easyjet/ryanair travellers. Worst airport we have ever been to,
