The river runs through the town (and the hotel faces it, with free parking on the quay). There is a very interesting cathedral, on the Camino de Santiago, where ther happened to be a concert on our night there. There are "hidden gardens" which one can find by exploring the smaller streets.

The private backyard wjere kids can play and a small swimming pool for kids. 3. Free parking next to the hotel. 4. The homemade jams are delicious. No comparison with those from the supermarket. 5. The owner, a super friendly dude, speaks English well. 6. The room is spacious. 7. The continental breakfast is included. 8. They have a guitar that the hotel guests are welcome to play. 9. They let us check out later, no extra charge was made. Highly recommended!

Breath taking house and garden. The bed in particular one of the most comfortable we have both ever slept on. The hosts Helene and Jean make you feel at home and are very friendly and approachable. On our trip this time we stayed in four different places and hotels/accommodations and this was for both of us by far the best. Hopefully we shall return to the area in the near future and we will definitely stay here again!

The room was lovely, large with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The hotel is situated on the edge of the town centre so perfect to walk to local shops and restaurants. Lydie put on a lovely breakfast each morning which was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for Lydie. We highly recommend Le Chai and would love to return one day.

You must eat with them as the supper with local sources is the best. In any case, the good place to spend the night if you pass the Santiago village of Condom.
