Great location, just above the town; it's a short walk to town and to the viewing point of the cliffs as well. Views from the hotel are exceptional. They gave us adjoining rooms for my family that was very convenient - both rooms had large windows with seating, perfect for watching the coastline. Staff is very helpful and courteous. The hotel restaurant was excellent. 5 star hotel feels; should be re-evaluated because deserves are higher rating!

It’s a very sweet older hotel, very comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very unique castle with completely different rooms in it… giving you the inner sense of connection with the site around not form the perspective of hotel… but mostly as of you are an expected guest of some nice family… very cozy.. and especially me and my son we like the Michelin dinners there ….

Étretat is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen.
Étretat is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. The cliffs, I mean. And Jardins d’Etretat. Don’t miss Jardins. The town, however, is super touristy. There are no good restaurants. I’d say sleep somewhere else and visit Étretat for a day.

Etretat is a lovely, relaxing little seaside resort.
Etretat is a lovely, relaxing little seaside resort. Not much to do in town except relax and eat at one of the excellent little restaurants.
Good place to explore local towns like Dieppe or Fecamp.
Good walks and views up on the cliffs.

Beautiful seaside town, was a bit overcrowded when we went...
Beautiful seaside town, was a bit overcrowded when we went and city center was closed to cars which meant everyone was pouring over to outside carparks which were overflowing. Best to avoid July/August time.
Lots of restaurants but there could be a queue to get in due to overcrowding. There are lots of fish restaurants, nice places for icecream, lots of very sweet and unusal shops.

Staff at both the hotel and a highly rated pizza restaurant...
Staff at both the hotel and a highly rated pizza restaurant were rude and complacent. Everywhere else along the north coast of France was quite the opposite, and so I wonder if this is an issue with the people working in Etretat. I found the town to be very disappointing and was glad to leave.

Fantastic walks along the cliffs and the beach.
Fantastic walks along the cliffs and the beach. Stunning views on each direction. The gardens are interesting with sculptures augmenting the features of the gardening.
Etretat Town gets very busy with coach trips and is quite expensive.

Etretat is a very scenic place.
Etretat is a very scenic place. We visited in February so it didn't have a lot of tourists but a lot of places were closed,
The cliffs are a must see and the walk up there is worth it.
Walking around is made easy by the fact that the city center is not accessible to cars but parking can and will get expensive the closer you are to the city center (1€ for 30 min in the red zone).
I would advise to come by train as much as possible or find a parking spot outside of the city if you're ok with walking.
From the moment we arrived and until our departure, everything was impeccable. The room was spacious, and so was the bathroom, with huge french windows providing lots of light, fresh air, and sea view. The bedding and towels were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is served “french style” on a huge terrace, which can also be used to enjoy sunrise. The host gave us lots of recommendations in terms of restaurants and hikes and accommodated all our requests. I would book this property again without hesitation!
Wilfrid is a great and friendly host who is always ready to give advice about the town, its restaurants and landscapes. The room was charming, very aesthetically pleasing and clean, with authentic antique furniture. It took us just a couple of minutes to get to the beach from the house. Breakfast was also amazing, beautifully served in nice tableware. Wilfrid has many interesting stories to tell his visitors. And his dogs are very cute. One should definitely stay here when visiting Étretat !

Everything about our stay exceeding our expectations! This is such a hidden gem, Sandrine was there to welcome us and was very responsive throughout our stay. As soon as you open the door, the town is a couple steps away. Our space was so special and authentic. It felt safe and quiet - this was a very raw experience in the town of Étretat that I will never forget. We feel so thankful it was available for our one night stay!
The location of the hotel is perfect, the sea view is absolutely astonishing! Very charming room, that would definitely deserves a good cleaning! Stains everywhere on the floor and a lot of dust on the furnitures and the floor.
Very nice and supportive staff, great breakfast.
A very nice place, that, considering the price, would really need a clean up.
An absolutely gorgeous little cottage tucked away in the heart of Etretat. Couldn't be closer to the beach, delicious restaurants and patisserie but so secluded and quiet. Beautifully but simply decorated, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and linen, lovely little garden. Such a lovely little hideaway!
It is a huuuge advantage to have private parking in Etretat, not far off from the town center - totally recommended just for that feature. The host was very attentive. He explained everything in a detailed manner. We also liked the garden a lot and the vibes overall. The kitchen was quite practical.
The hotel has it’s own amazing character, very authentic! Hosts are very friendly, answered all our questions about Étretat, and served a nice French breakfast for the whole family. Our room was very cozy and kids had a separate “bedroom” to sleep in. Chalkboard in the room was a huge hit.
Great location, just a few steps from the famous cliffs of Etretat. We had a room facing the sea and the view was great. The bed was comfortable, bathroom size is okay, towels and toiletries were provided. Overall it was clean, and there was a water boiler and tea filters in the room too.
It actually is the house of Offenbach! Great experience!
The owner (Jean Baptiste) was a great host. He is renovating the old house and has a few rooms to offer. Rather than a hotel, it’s a guesthouse, but the room was better than a hotel. Very spacious, great bathroom and very clean.
Central location being it is a small town. The cons: no cheaper or free parking nearby, gotta drive a bit far. We got moved to another hotel due to unexpected repair; and it was great. Small and compact but all good. Love the extra mirror.
The location is perfect! Right in central Etretat and a short walk to the cliffs. We went in November when the fisherman’s house was an amazing price. It was nice for our group to be able to spread out into three large bedrooms.
Everything was so lovely, the rooms were beautifully decorated and cozy, the location was wonderful- walkable to the whole town, and the host does an amazing breakfast and was nice to chat with.
Excellent property in the heart of Etretat. Julia, the owner, could not be nicer or more welcoming. The apartment was very nice and clean and next to several top-notch restaurants.
