We had to move to the hotel after a misleading Booking.com apartment and it was beyond our expectations. It was so comfortable and lovely. The balcony was big for Europe and the pool was perfect! The staff was very helpful in the restaurant.
I must write about the bathroom. It was a gorgeous stone wall and very sizeable for Europe and price.
It looks far from downtown Villefeanche-Sur-Met but it was a nice walk that was really nothing. It also is extremely quiet and a wonderful view of the marina and water. Great fun to walk all the watches come in and out.
Highly recommend!!!

Great location with bakery across the street, lively but charming bar downstairs for coffee or beer but didn’t stay open to late so was not a disturbance, picturesque ocean view from window, about a 10-15 min walk (beautiful walk) to the train station

Lucie was a gracious hostess and made us feel right at home! For a small fee, she will provide a delicious breakfast and/or a picnic lunch if requested. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely garden view. What a breath of fresh air instead of staying in Nice, among so many other people!

Very cute town just 15 minutes from Nice. Charming and welcoming. Some really good eateries such as La Grignoterie. Grocery store 'Casino' is a rip-off, dont go unless you just need one or two things

The town is amazing, the location of the property was right in the middle of everything. The place we stayed at was not prepared and cleaned for us, and management could care less. It makes you reconsider coming to France again.

Villefranche-sur-Mer is a charming town just outside of Nice, offering a quieter, less touristy experience. It’s perfect for strolling, dining, and soaking in the local atmosphere—a smaller, more peaceful version of Nice. It’s also easy to get around using the train or Uber, with quick access to both Nice and Monte Carlo. The location is central, making it a great base for exploring nearby towns and taking day trips.

I have lived in Villefranche-sur-Mer, therefore I know it well. It is a gem on the Côte d'Azur, a simple village, without the glamour of other places nearby. In recent years it has lost a lot of the local population, as most of its housing stock has become second homes. The beach is free, a rarity. And with the local trains is it possible to visit all the famous places, such as Beaulieu, Monaco, Antibes, and of course Nice. In winter it is very quiet, and most of the shops are closed. In the summer it gets very crowded, especially when the cruise ships visit for the day. Parking is expensive and very difficult to find.

If you are just going to see Villefranche-sur-Mer and Cap Ferrat, 2 days is more than enough. Lovely old town and great Sea walks. Except for down on the beach, walking is an effort due to the hill and we like to hike. Parking spaces, even paid ones, can be challenging to find.

Great value for money, large room, fantastic shower and friendly staff.
Previous reviews mentioned the train noise but I’m a light sleeper and they didn’t disturb me, it’s more of a whooshing sound than a loud rattle!
The location was fantastic. At first we thought the hotel was a bit of a trek into Villefranche but actually it’s ideally located to wander into Beaulieu sur mer and walk around St Jean Cap Ferrat. It’s right on the bus route heading east & west and there’s a garage next door selling essentials.
We had a very warm welcome from the staff. Our rooms were nice and clean and a good size. The hotel also had a very nice bar, which was a nice opportunity to mix with the locals and enjoy a glass of cremant whilst watching the world go by. The bar also offered breakfast for 9 euros. The location was very good, opposite the tourist office gardens and a short walk down to the attractive seafront.
room was clean, with comfortable bed, AC and good blinders. Location wise was perfect, in the heart of the cute village Villefranche sur Mer and close to the beach as well (about 10mns walk). Good restaurants nearby. We had the room on ground floor facing the street, it might be a bit noisy, depending on the traffic, but a good pair of earplugs will fix this. The receptionist was very friendly.
Stayed for the Monaco Historic GP so location walking to train station to travel to Monaco was key and Villefranche itself is a lovely classic Cote D'Azur town, bay, restaurants, beach etc. Hotel has a nice terrasse for breakfast.
Great hotel for a summer holiday in beautiful Villefranche. It never disappoints. I have been visiting this hotel for ten years now. It only gets better.
