Cabourg is not a big city, but very nice, quiet, and with many activities around ! -- well, if there was just a sea side only, it would be already enough to have a great stay ;-)) but there are many historical places to discover, many various activities to try (both for kids and parents), and so many nice different food experiences to try !

Cabourg has a special character as a seaside resort.
Cabourg has a special character as a seaside resort. It not only has miles of beautiful beach, but also a lot of beautiful architecture. It has an old-fashioned elegance, but also modern comforts. Even though it is small, It seems to bustle all year round and is no less beautiful on a grey day. The casino has a lot of live music events, with free entry, and is a beautiful Belle Epoque building in itself.

Great seaside town with lots to do for each member if the family of different ages. We loved the beach, the quirky seaside shops, the excellent bars and restaurants, the casino and of course, the daily outdoor market!

Nice location but the beach is better at nearby Houlgate.
Nice location but the beach is better at nearby Houlgate. Plenty of restaurants but they are all on the expensive side for basic dishes. Very little in the way of variety in terms of the food offered (mainly Italian dishes or derivatives), but eminently edible!

The artisan bakery in Cabourg high street was superb - we ate there every breakfast and lunch. So many delightful shops. The beach is a knock out- beautifully clean and goes on for miles. I have travelled to many countries and would rate the beach a no.1.
Please go and see for yourself the kids will love it.

Cabourg is obviously a popular French holiday destination.
Cabourg is obviously a popular French holiday destination. In season it is very busy and otherwise quiet. It is a pleasing town with lovely buildings and quiet back streets. There are good sporting facilities for tennis, golf, sailing. The beach and promenade are excellent. It is more upmarket than typical UK coastal resorts. It is well located for touring the D Day beaches and interesting museums particularly Sword/Gold and Pegasus Bridge. Also convenient for Deauville and Honfleur, a lovely historical town. The Tourist Information Office is modern and the staff are very helpful. There are many good shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.
Good location, just a couple minutes’ walk to the sandy beach or a short stroll along the promenade to the main town area.
Not biggest apartment but was more than enough and perfect for an overnight stop on our tour of Normandie. Clean and comfortable double bed and seating area. Free parking onsite was a big plus.
Good communication with owner and clear instructions on how to find property & gain entry.
We loved the room, with its silk wall covering and period furniture, the French windows, the balcony, the view over the gardens, and the central position of this beautiful historic house by the sea in Cabourg. Car parking was easy and free in a street at the rear of the Villa. The charming and friendly hostess, Jeannick, did everything she could to make our stay comfortable and most memorable.
Nice basic apartment nothing really special but was clean and tidy.
Comfortable bed.
Parking space provided was tiny we could only just squeeze car in but couldn't open door to get out.
Little noisy for children as market is outside and that can wake them and stop them sleeping
Pictures accurate and apartment was light and bright.
Historic hotel where Proust stayed every summer from 1907 to 1913, described in his 2nd book as The Grand Hotel of Balbec. We are big fans of Proust, so this was the main reason for the stay. Hotel is very nice, but rather expensive. Alas, Proust former room (420) was converted to a conference room.
Everything was made perfectly for a solo traveler if just need a small space to relax in. I really like how the room was changeable. From apartment to dining area to my bedroom.. will come again and again. Cabourg is such a beautiful city with so much history in the near from WW II
We loved everything from the moment we arrived. Ease of parking, the room with a sea view and the fantastic warm seawater outdoor pool. We booked a table in the restaurant for evening meal and we’re not disappointed. All in all it’s a superb hotel.
We liked it so much we wouldn’t mind living there! It was super clean, spacious, good bed linen on comfy beds. Nice big bathroom and good shower. The area was a 10 - 15 min walk to town. It was quiet and pleasant.
