Cotignac is a gem in the back country.
Cotignac is a gem in the back country. Close to many interesting places, the village itself is captivating. From walking the Main Street Cours Gambetta to venturing up the cliff faces to see the troglodyte caves, there is so much to do. One of the highlights was the sacred trinity church on the top of the hill. But the best part about the town was the delightful restaurants and staff. A wonderful place.

It was well worth the steep climb to visit the ancient caves, as it afforded a fantastic view of the whole valley.
Cotignac was a real little gem, strolling through the town browsing the small boutiques & stopping to watch the men play pétanque in the early evenings.
While we were there (July 14) the had a village Pasta party with dancing afterwards. Pretty much the whole village turned out.

Cotignac is one of the prettiest villages of France.
Cotignac is one of the prettiest villages of France. We enjoyed the authenticity and beauty of the village. Plenty of nice restaurants to choose from in the center. It feels real and harmonious. We just wanted to blend in and enjoy.
The food was delicious. Breakfast and dinner was included in the rate. We could only eat dinner at the restaurant one night and he made sure not to charge us for the other night. Staff was very friendly.
The location was very close to town! The rooms were very pretty and nicely decorated and air conditioned! (Not many places in Cotignac are airconditioned so that was great!) Free parking.
This property is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful retreat - we loved every part of it from the outdoor patio to the pool to the thoughtfully decorated rooms. We were warmly greeted by Brigitte who served us wine and snacks on the patio upon our check in. We wish we could have stayed more than one night, and would absolutely recommend to anyone who’s staying in the Cotignac area!
Delicious breakfast, friendly and kind hosts. Tranquil location within walking distance from the downtown area of Cotignac, where there are restaurants and bars you can enjoy. Less than an hours’ drive to Gorges du Verdon.
Clean and comfortable rooms. We had everything we needed. There is also a nice outdoor area that is especially wonderful at night when the cliffs are lit up.
Facilities were great, very clean and beautiful traditional style. Mix of modern with new kitchen, bathrooms and garden seating. Everything for the baby was provided too. There is a stunning restaurant just 5/10 minutes walk away called ‘le jardin secret’ at the lou callen hotel. Atmosphere and food were fantastic. Cotignac as a town is also beautiful and steeped in history.
Thanks the amiable Sylviane who created such a nice experience for us to stay in this lovely and quiet house. The house is very big with kitchen, toilet and living room. We would like to thank Sylviane for recommending the restaurant and cafes for our dinner and breakfast. Without Sylviane we won't have a nice time in cotignac.
A beautiful place in a beautiful region of France! We really enjoyed the big garden, the room was also quite spacious and beautifully decorated. Our host Laurence was very kind and friendly and she prepares a very tasty breakfast :) It is a place where you can really relax - peaceful and beautiful.
Fantastic hotel a short walk from a great selection of restaurants. Don't miss the Market (I think on a Tuesday). Hotel was beautiful, super comfortable rooms and amazing pool. Love who eco conscious they are too. All in all great stay with amazing staff, can't recommend highly enough.
The house had everything you would need and is in a beautiful location. The views of Cotignac were amazing. The pool had the sun all day with plenty of umbrellas if you needed shade. Francoise responded promptly to messages. A beautiful villa and we would definitely return.
The overall ambience, privacy and luxury combined with a beautiful breakfast, caring hosts who speak perfect English and a stunning pool. Across the road from a top restaurant and good access into the lovely village of Cotignac. Excellent value.
Le Petit Hameau is located within 5 minutes drive from downtown Cotignac, where you will find several nice restaurants, bars and a lovely patisserie. It is approx 20 to 30 minutes drive to other places like Moustiers and Gorge du Verdon
Catherine and Pascale are such friendly and helpful hosts. Good conversations and local advice, and not forgetting the generous breakfast served on the terrace. Just a few minutes walk to the centre of charming Cotignac.
The room was very clean, very comfortable, and the owner Christine was amazing. She went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Cotignac or Côte de provence.
The host was wonderful, and had towels and linnen ready for us when we hadnt brought anything.
The apartment is located in the central of cozy Cotignac, with restaurants and shops right outside the door.
The property is super cute in an ideal location in Cotignac. It has everything you could want and more. Jonny the owner is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met - such a breath of fresh air!
Cute studio right in the heart of beautiful Cotignac. Comfy bed and good shower. Lovely and friendly host. Netflix we could change to English was an excellent bonus too.
Beautiful place in a quiet area outside of Cotignac. The hosts were very welcoming and nice, the rooms are clean and modern. Very peaceful and calm. Highly recommend.
I think the best available option for visiting the village ! Very comfortable and clean bed with a spacious bathroom! A newly renovated hotel in a great location !
