Shaldon is a picturesque seaside village nestling at the mouth of the River Teign, a river renowned for its cockles, mussels and salmon. If you enjoy the water, the river, beach and estuary will delight you, not to mention the famous Shaldon ferry which crosses the river to Teignmouth throughout the day. Children will love the sandy beaches and Smugglers Tunnel. Adults and children alike will enjoy the botanical gardens and small zoo, and no visit would be complete without a traditional Devon cream tea.
