Hi! I’m Charlotte. I live in the U.K., about an hour from London, with my husband and two children. We have two properties that we let out on a short term basis, our lovely annexe near Newbury, Berkshire and our holiday penthouse in Marbella. Large country house with flexible living - ideal for multiple families staying together. You will arrive at the property through gates onto a large drive area with parking for 5-6 cars. As you enter the house there is a spacious entrance that leads straight to the kitchen with the formal lounge to the right. The lounge has an open fire and is a cosy and classic room. The kitchen has a new double Rangemaster oven with gas hob, a Sage coffee (bean to cup) barista machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and american style fridge/freezer. The kitchen leads to the orangery, which is the hub of the house with a large 9ft table big enough to seat 10 comfortably. We do have additional chairs so there is room for 12. There is also a sofa seating area here which is perfect for after dinner conversation. There are large patio doors to access to the patio and pool from this room. Also downstairs is a snug with recliner chairs and a large, wall mounted 60" TV with PLEX streaming service with all the latest film releases. The perfect place to immerse yourself in a great film. There is a downstairs games room which has a table tennis table as well as the football table and retro 80's arcade games for that trip down memory lane. There is a wall mounted smart TV in here and a full sofa bed that will comfortably sleep 2 children / teens. There is also a downstairs toilet and a utility room with washer/dryer and hanging space for laundry. Upstairs, the main house has 1 king bedroom with an en-suite including a large shower and freestanding bath. There are 2 further double bedrooms, one with a private shower and one further bathroom. Accessed from the main house, there is a self contained annex on the first floor. This can be opened up as part of the main house or kept separate for privacy. The annex has a twin bedroom that can be made into a super king and a further bedroom with a king size bed. There is also a bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge area with wall mounted TV.

The house is in a little hamlet, close to Cold Ash which is equidistant to the north east of Newbury and north west of Thatcham. It is a very quiet and prosperous village close to other highly regarded villages including Bucklebury, Hermitage and Hampstead Norreys. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The surrounding countryside has many walks to enjoy and picturesque, quintessential English villages with wonderful pubs to stop at for lunch. We are also close to Highclere Castle, home of Downton Abbey plus a number of National Trust properties including Basildon Park. For families, we are a couple of miles from Bucklebury Farm Park and 15 mins from 4 Kingdoms Adventure Park.
