Loved the location in the countryside and that Gill and Scott were willing to help with any of our needs. Nice touches of having everyday pantry needs available made our stay easier!

What a wee gem this hotel is! My son and I had a wonderful time in North Berwick and The Folly Inn was such a great base for us to explore, rest and enjoy our weekend. It is walking distance from the train station and from the High Street, the beach, the golf course and all the shops, cafés and restaurants.
The staff are so nice and welcoming and friendly. The lovely breakfast tray was much appreciated! It had so many things that we actually had a very filling breakfast while watching cartoons :)
The room was big enough for two people and even had a great view of the golf course and the sea. Even though our bedroom faced a big road, we had a wonderfu sleep and it was peaceful and quiet. The bed was super comfortable and we slept really well.
We will be definitely staying here again every time we visit North Berwick!
Greywalls Hotel is situated on the edge of Muirfield’s championship golf course, on the 9th and 18th holes. There are ample gardens, tennis courts and free Wi-Fi.

Quite a pleasant seaside town/harbour which I'm sure will be able to fill a day or more if you are there in the sunny weather - it was February when we were here and it was a tad chilly!
Lots of interesting shops on the high street and places to eat too.

North Berwick has all facilities one could want including independent shops, supermarkets, coffee shops and petrol stations.
The Rocketeer Restaurant serves excellent seafood and the staff are very welcoming. Our dog was allowed in and given water and treats.
Steampunk Coffee serves excellent coffee!
The walk up The Law is worth the views and the Scottish Seabird Centre is interesting and has a good cafe, though we didn't eat there on this occasion.

we liked the beach walks - lovely clean beaches, not many people, mainly dog walkers
nice little harbour and a great seabird centre with a nice tea room with lovely views out to sea
there is also an interesting little museum in one of the backstreets run by volunteers, we loved the old fashioned miniature shops on display: the attention to detail was amazing - I'm sure all the kids love these

If you want to be able to take a train to a nice beach then this is an excellent option. It's a lovely Sandy Beach that is great for short walks. The high street with shops, cafes and pubs is also very close to the train station.

The location is excellent; a short walk from the railway station, buses stop across the road from the property (including the express bus into Edinburgh), the seafront is 50 metres away and all of North Berwick's shops, restaurants and other facilities are within easy walking distance.
North Berwick is a wonderful little town with a beautiful aspect, public transport is efficient and easy, and the people are very friendly.
We really enjoyed our stay at Marine North Berwick. We were there on our honeymoon, and the staff (James) went out of his way, with complimentary drinks, a lovely message, and attentiveness. It really helped make our honeymoon very special. The hotel is beautiful and the beach is equally lovely!
Delightful little house with flowerpots outside, very clean and comfortable - perfect location within North Berwick, a few steps to the High Street and few minutes from the beach and harbour. Already booked for next year.
Central in North Berwick, clean and well decorated room, great breakfast, didn’t have dinner but good extensive menu, good service from staff, also free car park at rear of hotel
