The whole stay at the Mad Hatter’s Hut was delightful. The location is very handy for the M6 yet the surroundings are beautiful. The hut is equipped with all that you need for a short stay, decorated to a very high standard with an exceedingly comfortable bed. The bathroom is perfect with great water pressure in the shower. Can’t speak highly enough of this place.

Beautiful place to stay, our 3 dogs and ourselves thoroughly enjoyed the log burner, peaceful location and beautiful views of 3 horses across the road! We spent most of our time walking and it was lovely to come back to this cosy barn. Thank you for having us.
A beautiful comfortable cottage. The host was very kind and kept in touch during our stay. Even though the location was just outside the Lakes National Park we found it easy to explore and do some amazing walks in the hills at an affordable price.

The Antiques shop was a fabulous place to meander around - we planned a quick visit & came out 2.5 hours later! Very friendly, knowledgeable staff/owners & some great little finds.
The caravan site we stayed in was fabulous, never managed to find the cafe next to the antiques shop open but there are enough other places close by if you are travelling by car.
Watch out for rush hour when the cows are crossing the main through road for milking!

Very tidy and clean caravan, well thought out, had everyting we needed, wifi, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, including extras for dogs (even poo bags). The location is great, being so close to the Lake District, Hadrian's Wall, Roman Forts, Sctoland, Carlisle, Penrith, beautiful scenery and small villages, nearby pub in village with good food. The staff very friendly, so easy going. We didn't want to leave.

Very well maintained and spacious caravan with all amenities. Our caravan catered for a family and had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lounge and kitchen are of a good proportion with comfortable sittings. Everything had been well thought out and weather permitting we could also enjoy the sitting area on the decking. As it is dog friendly, we felt our dog was safe there as the decking area was enclosed by a glass fence. Everyone seemed to respect other’s privacy and we found it a very quiet place. We will be back.
