A great city with an amazing social history and museums that tell its story. Its tram system gets you to many places you want to go. The Whitworth Art Gallery is superb, the cafe alone is worth a visit.

Had a bad experience at Victoris station where a large strange man pushed me really hard from behind off the pavement into the road. It shook me up and luckily no traffic was coming.

Be prepared for seeing 21st Century life in the raw, as in amongst much that is splendid and admirable ( restaurants, shopping generally and fantastic tram system, you will see - without trying - people whose lives aren't good. Drugees, refugees and over-imbibers are sometimes immediately adjacent to each other. This was a shocking reality check on modern life away from 'old school' rural life where we live..
Notwithstanding this, the galleries, libraries, churches, and modern architecture are beautiful and stimulating.

Extremely modern hotel, looks fabulous and has everything you need for a nights stay in Manchester. In a brilliant location - city centre and very close to attractions. The rooms are quaint, high tech and amenities, such as Netflix on the TVs, are nice additions. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous - probably one of the best breakfast spreads I’ve ever had that catered well to vegan and veggie options. Front-of-house staff were talkative and friendly. I hardly have any faults!
My 4th stay, great location and facilities. room is very clean. great value for money. I have stayed at diff budget hotels in Manchester City and found this is the best, given the price range and the distance so close to city centre.
Staff were very helpful especially the new receptionist from Hong Kong (forgot to ask her name but she was at night shift on 11-12th) , she is so nice and attentive.
Great location in Castlefield, plenty of things to do and not too far from Manchester City centre. Super comfortable stay, massive bed. Very welcoming staff. Reasonable prices at the hotel bar. Reasonably priced for Manchester.
The location of the hotel is very convenient near Piccadilly Station (5 min walk) and very central to everything in Manchester City Centre.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were pleasant.
