If you are visiting for the ultimate relaxing Scottish break, or for an action-packed adventure featuring water sports, walking or cycling, there is such a vast amount to explore in the areas surrounding Loch Rannoch that you’ll soon be coming back to book another stay! There is also a Crannog (artificial island) near the far west of the loch which was used in the 18th century as a base for outlawed members of the MacGregor Clan. For cyclists the quiet flat roads surrounding the loch are ideal for taking in the spectacular views. The road is used for the famous annual Etape Caledonia, a closed road 80-mile cycling event, so you will be in good company. Alternatively, if you are looking for the ultimate in exhilaration, you won’t be disappointed when you discover the joys of off-road mountain biking through Rannoch Forest, making this apartment the perfect base for your cycling holidays in Scotland. Activity enthusiasts will find plenty to do in every season. Make sure you take your ice axe and...
