Like going back in time.
Like going back in time. Such nice people in shops and restaurants. The area seems to attract polite people, happy to pass the time of day. The area is gorgeous, the architecture and history fascinating. My husband has mobility problems but I felt absolutely safe walking the prom in the evening alone. I don’t know why it took me so long to find Southwold but could move in tomorrow. Great place to visit, surrounded by many other interesting places. I’ve visited many times at different times of year. There’s always cafes open and people to watch. On the pier there’s the quirky under the pier show, an arcade of unique slot machines created by the amazing inventor Tim Hunkin. It’s lovely to walk along the beach if the weather is kind and there are many independent shops.
