Beautiful place to stay. Clean and has all the amenities. The host kindly left some items in the fridge for us as well as some snacks.
We had a lovely hot shower at night after the activities and it was perfect. My friends who stayed nearby had a nightmare with their shower as the water was cold. So I'm grateful we had a great experience

The location, big sofa to enjoy a family film in the evening. The bed was a bit tight but nice and comfortable.

Fabulous location a minute from the beach , great facilities, stylish original decor, lovely touches, very spacious and well equipped. Felt like a home, not a rental. Lovely outdoor balconies to enjoy the morning sunshine. Nice pub, The Owl, two mins walk away. Parking free and easy. Host incredibly helpful, friendly and professional to deal with. Highly recommend and hope to be back.

Amazing stay - close to the beach and the garden looks out onto fields with cows and sheep.
Great place to stay for a group or family, property was warm, clean and modern with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
I would recommend this to anyone visiting camber sands or surrounding towns.
I suggest bringing your own food and drinks with you as there aren’t many restaurants within walking distance, if you plan to drive then this is not an issue.
Thank you for the welcome gift and we plan to visit again soon.

Best location within the park, easy access to beach path. The extra mile the owners put in my providing basic food and toiletries was much appreciated. Will definitely make a return trip.
Complete with a garden and barbecue facilities, Kittiwake Cottage Camber Sands is situated in Camber, 44 km from Eurotunnel UK and 48 km from Folkestone Central Railway Station.
Not much at Camber but the beach is worth it alone.

Rye was lovely as was Dungeness, fish hut at Dungeness was fabulous. Paddy Hamilton gallery next to the light house was beautiful.
The Plough just outside Rye was brilliant, food was first class.
Waterworks micro brewery in Rye also well worth a visit. As was The Grapevine Bar and Jazz club

Very easy to get around.
Very easy to get around. The area we stayed at had quite a lot of activities. I missed out on booking a session at the pool so can't offer any advise on that
The bus stop to Rye is just outside the entrance of the park. Buses run every hour. Rye is easy to explore and beautiful.
Fish me a dish is nearby and recommended. Easy to find and it's nice to walk and explore.

Camber is all about the beach, which is wonderful.
Camber is all about the beach, which is wonderful.
There are a couple of beach cafes (KitKat is very good following an upgrade) . Dogs are allowed at each end all year leaving the central part dog free during May to October.
There isn’t a great deal to do in Camber other than the great beach but Rye is a 12 minute drive and that is worth a visit for small shops and historic value
Behind the dunes are 3 pubs and ice cream shops! The Owl has great food. Allows dogs but not young children but there are couple of others that do. All minutes from beach in Old Lydd Road.

About the resort itself, it has many activities for kids *which you have to pay for separately. Food there is not great. Cheap indeed, but not great. Breakfast portions are too small. The nisa supermarket there saves your life, however, closes at 8pm, not helpful at all. Good arcade, many choices of machines. Little bit overcrowded but there's not much we can do about it. Staff in general OK but majority slow-paced and you can see they're not happy to be there. Lack of experience and not helpful w customers at all.
The information about entertainment passes is not clear. We didn't decide straight away aboit the passes and someone literally went to our caravan to 'charge us' and collect the money. Optional is different from 'we bought the passes for you, left at your caravan and now we need the money back in cash' besides that, £25 pp (even the children) It was a very uncomfortable situation and honeslty £25 pp for the swimming pool sounds excessive considering the time we're aloud to use the pool (2h max) and judging by the size/type of pools they offer.
I would suggest get the caravan, eat in pubs/restaurants in Rye and go to beach, castle etc in the area and forget about the camber resort

Big sand beach great dunes and views.
Big sand beach great dunes and views. Let down by careless tourists leaving litter on the beach. Carparks inadequate to cater for the peak volume of traffic. If the Dungeness Road is blocked gridlock occurs leading to hours of delays getting into or out of Camber. The Pontins site is derelict leading to additional pressures on the Parkdean caravan park. Facilties are tired, dated, inadequate and generally do not work here. Best visited as a day trip and stay in Dungeness in an Air B&B.

Its a perfect retreat for a family away from the world of technology and fast pace life and to relax at the resort with many activities for the kids, the beach is a bit of a walk but i mamaged to drive closer and find street parking a short walk to the beach avoiding high daily parking fees.
Overall its a great experience and time away to have quality family time and to enjoy the little things
