FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

Listen i know that Blackpool isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I have been coming here since I was a child. A lot has changed in the town but one thing still remains. If you want a good night out, look no further. If you can’t find anything to do All I can say is you must be boring and have no sense of fun whatsoever

Blackpool was a fun, vibrant place, and more diverse now, which is a pleasing change. There are lots of things to do, including good restaurants (East West and Namaste were the ones we went to the most), an iMax Cinema, shopping, and a great promenade/seafront. We carefully chose our accommodation to ensure that everything was within easy walking distance.

After all the troubles and business's failing. everyone is trying so hard to put Blackpool back together again , everyone still happy and friendly. well done Blackpool citizens and well done to the authorities who are investing and trying to get it done. 30 years ago . burgers and hotdogs were a £1 each. and even on the promenade Now, 2025 They are still selling them for a £1. Hard work guys well done

Sorry to say Blackpool is very run down.

Sorry to say Blackpool is very run down. and Its heyday has been and gone. illuminations are really quite disappointing. fantastic tram system that should be running a few historic trams to attract a few more people. Tower is now council run and have ruined the whole experience. a very scary place after 8pm or after the free mobility scooter charging at the local Spoons has finished. Hotels are very expensive when anything to do with dancing is being held which is 365 days a year. Guantánamo Bay really is more appealing than Blackpool. The one good thing about Blackpool… is leaving. Blackpool council…. you need a good kick

    Rubbish on streets was disgusting.

Rubbish on streets was disgusting. A lot of homeless people. People on drugs staggering around as well as the smell of urine and weed, it was overwhelming. People openly driving throwing rubbish out car windows on a few occasions why ??? Very disappointing. Been going to Blackpool for over for 50 years, it was awful to see. A huge decline in 18 months was evident. Viva venue was excellent although quite expensive, was really enjoyable. Stanley Show bar was a great venue. Ate at Papas fish and chips, won't be back and wouldn't recommend it. Had an awesome Chinese meal which was excellent. Ate at central pier - pirates family bar, food was excellent. Hired deck chairs for the beach. It was great touch, excellent value for money and very comfortable. A great idea and would recommend this. Blackpool council need to do something before this beautiful town declines further. Sad to observe.

Finding this little gem was brilliant. I usually stay in the big hotel on the seafront, so we didn't know what the Ascot was going to be like. We were both surprised. The staff (Noren) were amazing. Nothing was ever too much. My family is coming back down to Blackpool for my dad's 80th, and we have already booked up with the Ascot. Oh, the breakfast is delicious! Amazing staff, amazing rooms, amazing breakfast for an amazing price. Thanks for making it a home away from home. 💚
