Myself and my partner attended at Doric. The hotel was actually better than what we expected. The reception area and bar is modern and lovely. The staff are also great. The rooms were outdated however were very clean therefore we could not complain. The all inclusive really was all inclusive. I had to get carried up the stairs by the end of the night ha ha! We were the youngest couple in the hotel but were made to feel so welcome and had such a laugh. We would definitely return 🙂

FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

    Sadly declining year after years

Sadly declining year after years Even the front prom is suffering now where it used to be the streets behind it. So many b and b establishments closed and or in sad state of repair . A lot of things to do with young family so not all bad.

The whole place has been debased.

The whole place has been debased. Too many disaffected people roaming the streets. Some streets were "crummy" It looks as though Blackpool is about to "close down." Fly tipping is a problem on the streets. Look after Stanley Park its one of the few places you have left and can be proud of

I left my luggage on a tram when I got off at Victoria...

I left my luggage on a tram when I got off at Victoria Street, a stop after Fleetwood Ferry when I felt desperate to find a toilet. The library staff at Victoria Street, two policemen and a number of conductors and drivers on two different trams shuttling between Starr Gates and Fleetwood Ferry kindly and patiently helped me trace my lost property. My luggage was handed in to the Starr Gate depot staff from whom I retrieved my possession. I was allowed to use a toilet by a staff member at Victoria Street pub. I like the people of Blackpool very much. Kind, friendly and ready to help. I will tell my friends all over the world to visit this City. The food is exquisite. I had excellent fish and chip on the beach as well as chicken at Nando's during my stay. However, please provide lots of clean toilets for elderlies. I like the tram that I used from Pleasure Beach to Fleetwood Ferry and back. Thank you.

Great small hotel near the seafront at Blackpool South Pier, but on a quiet street. Clean and in good decorative order throughout. Tram stop just a few minutes' walk away. Well decorated bar area/lounge. Great cooked breakfast, in addition to cereal and orange juice. The owners couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, and great communication on the day of arrival.

The room was lovely and cosy with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is so lovely everything you need is there. The hotel was right on the seafront with parking at the front, that was a bonus for me. The staff was so lovely. I will definitely stay here again. A home from home feel.
