Powfoot Hotel is in a lovely location with views of the Solway Firth and golf course. We have stayed in both seaview rooms and golf view rooms also with side sea view and liked both. The food is very good and the breakfast is great with good choice. Staff are very helpful. We are repeat visitors and enjoy the hotel and location very much.

The host, Lesley, was absolutely lovely. She was so accommodating and welcomed us when we arrived. The barn was spotless and all the little details had been thought of to make it an extra comfortable stay! The location was perfect, just a minute or so walk from a big Tesco. The decor was modern and homely. Thank you for a much-needed relaxing night away!

Everything. The cottage was absolutely beautiful and came with anything you could possibly need to enjoy a stay. We stayed for our wedding in Gretna and it just made our experience that little bit more special.

The space was really nice for my dog, with an enclosed area for her to run around.
On the outskirts of Gretna Green, The Mill Forge Hotel offers luxurious accommodation in southern Scotland.

Lovely location and the accommodation and grounds immaculate. Beautiful location for a stay. Fantastic for a wedding.
Staff were lovely from arriving to leaving, hope the management realise just how pleasant the team are.
Restaurant food and breakfast fantastic as was service in the Bar.
Wanted to be able to say I had been to Gretna and what a lovely venue to stay in (we just visited, not there for a Wedding), however. I would imagine a wedding would be spectacular and you would be well looked after.
Not a grumpy face in the place. Loved it

My trip to Annan proved to be a culinary delight. My breakfast at the Corner House Hotel and my evening meal at the 'Our Place' restaurant were both truly exceptional. Also, the staff could not have been more friendly or professional. I enjoyed exploring the town on foot and although I was pleased to discover the 'Annandale Way', the route had a neglected feel, with some damaged sections of pathway. I also took in a football match at Galabank Stadium which was easily accessible and welcoming.

I visited Annan for the Annandale Distillery.
I visited Annan for the Annandale Distillery. I enjoyed the Distillery and later watched the England V Netherlands game in a pub, so it was a good night. Annan itself looks like it could do with a lick of paint, there a many boarded up buildings which is a shame. There is still many features to visit though and the scenery is beautiful.

The cottage was ideal for a few days away, there was a walk 5mins from door which took you to the coastline photo on review. Then you could walk 1 1/2 miles to Redkirk or follow the shore path the opposite way.Dpny know what paths were like as too rainy to do it. 5 miles from Annan 20inutes drive to Gretna

Annan is a small town but has lovely scenery and a good walking area by the river. It's great if you use it as a base to go to Gretna and Carlisle both accessible by train. The station is only about a 6 minute walk to the town centre. Cafe Royal make an amazing fish n chips dinner, portions are huge. I don't play golf but saw a sign for a golf course. Also a sign for a distillery. Annan oozes with friendliness. I will definitely be going again.

A mixture of 17 Th Century red sandstone buildings with a wide Main Street indicating an old market town. Many buildings had references to Robert Burns. It’s got a harbour and lots of “old fashioned “ individual businesses. Worth at least a day on its own or 2 to 3 as a base if you want to explore Dumfries and Galloway !

The Old Rectory is a perfect example of Scottish BnB accommodation. Breakfast was excellent, we all had plenty to sustain us through the day. Beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Dave was helpful with suggestions of where to get other meals and the guest house was quiet and clean. I see others complain about the water pressure of the showers (I've actually seen worse in big hotels), but when you've not had a working shower at home for over 12 months due to renovation's, any shower is better than none. Perspective is everything ;-)
The Powfoot hotel is absolutely lovely! The atmosphere was warm and inviting and we immediately felt at home. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and the food in the restaurant was divine! The location right on the beach is fantastic too. The rooms are the cleanest I've ever stayed in and it felt like the bathroom was brand new! We loved absolutely everything about our stay and we want to come back soon!
Very well-located in the centre of Annan with its own car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially during the breakfast service. The breakfast was excellent. The room was large and comfortable with however patchy Wifi. The shower worked well and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Beautiful location, just up from the river Annan. Very quiet village within easy reach of Annan which has some great places to eat (Our Place and The Anglers both good). The walk along the river to Annan and back is stunning).
Owners couldn’t have been more accommodating; definitely worth a try.
Beautiful period property with lovely original features. Very good size room and huge bathroom. Convenient on street parking outside the hotel.
Situated on a quiet street off the main high street in Annan. Good location for exploring the area.
