Its location is opposite Ripon Cathedral which we visited the following morning.
The bedroom was spacious with quality furnishings and our bedroom overlooked the rear garden which was lovely.
Although we had pre-booked an evening meal elsewhere so we can’t comment on this but we can say the breakfast was something to behold - different but excellent.

Ripon is a bustling market town with plenty of lovely independent shops, bars and restaurants. Everything is within easy walking distance. Lots of car parking that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Lots to see and do.
Loved the museums and Ripon Cathedral is awesome inspiring.
Currently there is a big wheel in the market square which offers a Birds Eye view of the town. Well worth a visit

Ripon is a small but beautiful market town with plenty of places to eat and drink. Great coffee shops and eating places to suit every budget: it has a beautiful cathedral and a great bus service into Harrogate and other local areas

Ripon is a small town with a charming centre and fabulous cathedral. It doesn't take more than a short day to look around the town but it's a great base for exploring. There's a large Sainsbury's in the middle of town so easy to stock up on essentials. Don't miss Appleton's pie shop on the market square - fantastic! Fountains Abbey and Newby Hall are must-sees just 15 mins from Ripon. The centre of the Dales is just an hour away.

The Catherderal is stunning.
The Catherderal is stunning. The hornblower parade and talk was really insightful. The Royal Oak provides a lovely menu of food. Ripon town centre is very compact, with lovely resteraunts, bars, cafes and shops in walking distance of each other. Beware that the cost of taxi can be significantly higher during "in demand times" we used an uber that cost about £6.00 from the Ripon Inn to Market Place Square, 5 minute journey, in the afternoon but Uber wanted to charge £16.50 at 6.45 pm for the same journey.

Enjoyed walking around the centre during the day & lovely old tea shop with friendly staff in the centre.
Nice to a walk along the tow path.
Short Canal trip was interesting as we were given information about the canal as part of the trip.
Lovely Cathedral and a tour around it was very interesting too.

The hotel and grounds were brilliant, the bedroom was lovely, the bathroom large, with large shower. Breakfast was amazing, there wasnt anything they missed, alot of selection to choose from one of the best, Location was good just 5 minute walk into the town centre of Ripon. Lots of seating in the Hotel bar and restaurant with a large terrace outside, dog friendly too. Staff were really friendly and helpful
The apartment was so clean, modern and comfortable. All the appliances were brand new and the location was as central as you could get. The bus stop was 5 minutes walk, the shop was across the road. I really would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Ripon. Do bare in mind the apartment hasn't got step free access, there is one flight of stairs but it is lovely if access isn't an issue.
Good value for money. Close to Ripon and an easy drive into Harrogate for sightseeing and eating places. Although on the main road and my room being at the front of the hotel, I had a great night's sleep. The hotel boasts a Carvery but, unfortunately, is only open on a Thursday, Friday and weekend.
The room was comfortable and the facilities more than adequate.
Staff were all brilliant, the room had everything you could need...and it was the best breakfast we've ever had in a hotel (and we've stayed in lots of places!) We will definitely stay here again if we're back in Ripon.
