The hotel is very clean and tidy, the staff is diligent and friendly, especially the cook Biljana. Her omelettes are excellent. It should also be mentioned that the hotel is located in the immediate nearby of the sea/beach and the city center. It's a great convenience. It also has its own parking.

This hotel is an absolute gem! We were using Senj as a one night stop over but now wished we had more time here.
We were met on arrival by the lovely Borna who instantly radiated warmth and hospitality and we felt at home. Borna is a credit to the hotel, nothing is too much trouble and she scoots around reception, the bar and the food stations with practised ease.
We had a top floor room which is accessible by a lift to the 2nd floor and then stairs to the next floor. The room is one of the quirkiest I’ve ever stayed in, it was beautifully appointed and we loved it.
The bed was really comfy, a lovely hot shower with fabulous water pressure.
Also of note is the mini fridge and 2 x still water bottles for patrons. This is a service that’s becoming rare now and we really appreciated having it.
Breakfast this morning was lavish and had everything you could want for a hearty start to the day. We were sad to leave after only one night and absolutely recommend this hotel for a very comfortable stay. And thank you Borna for just being you, you’re amazing!

It was clean and comfortable. Everything was great. Only gave it a nine because I tried to use the stope top and it wouldn’t heat up properly but there was a microwave. Host was lovely and the location is just a short walk to the old town.

The apartment was spacious and modern and clean. A short drive from town. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, and helped get us the unit key even though we weren't sure of our arrival time, since we were driving in from further down the Dalmatian coast.

Amazing view on the sea, islands and sunsets! We had a great time eating on the balcony with the view. It’s worth the distance and hundred of stairs (if something is aloft, no wonder you should „climb” ;)). Facilities aren’t the newest but that was enough for us and the apartment was cozy.
Beautiful and historic seaside town with amazing scenery...
Beautiful and historic seaside town with amazing scenery around it. We were there off season but it was sleepy without much to do. We visited the Nehaj Fortress which includes a museum and rooftop views of the sea and town. The beaches in the area are typically small and rocky. We stayed mostly to go to Plitvice National Park which is over an hour drive away from the town.

What a Authentic little town, not to touristy good services though, nice Adriatic beaches and coves. Lots of interesting history to hunt down. Mid Sept. and the water was still around 20c . Calming place after all the fast pace of larger city's Dining hint: find Kod Veska.... seafood galore

Zengg is the perfect choice if you're not only interested in the beach, but also want to see a bit of the city. The old town is interesting, the castle is worth a visit and the restaurants are good. It's big enough that you can't really notice the many tourists. The locals are friendly and you can get along well with English or German.

It is a nice and hilly place.
It is a nice and hilly place. It is not much of a big town/city. It does not have a long coast line but there is a nice beach we visited called Skver Beach which closed to the town/city centre. I liked their lechon also that is one of the menu from all the restaurants we visited.

Senj is a small town on the coast.
Senj is a small town on the coast. It isn't as crowded as other towns nearby. If you just focus on the beaches and the town itself you might get bored quickly. The mountains however in the area are beautiful and offer great views or hiking possibilities. Coming down from Alan to Jablanac for example offers the most beautiful views I ever experienced.
Restaurants offer mostly all kinda the same food. Bora 45 Hotel has good food, try the restaurants near the water in Lukovo south of Senj ( great road getting there), and the fish restaurant in Klenovica north of Senj.
Coast road to Senj can be very busy in August. So a good alternative route is the highway from Zagreb to Split.
If you want good Slivovic avoid the factory made, ask for farmer-made Slivovic, If you are lucky they sell it. More inland villages often have.
If you depend on good wifi, book a place near the central post office. If you get further away the speed can drop to 4-6 Mbps.

The beach is amazing, the people are friendly, the weather is usually great (but also windy).
The restaurants are an amazing price quality, especially Uskok which we dinnered at.
This is a town to stay at for 2 or max 3 days. I wouldn't stay for the whole week, there won't be anything to enjoy outside of the small town, small charming (amazing) beach and the castle with view.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The apartment has a stunning view, and the beds were incredibly comfy.
This was the cleanest apartment we stayed in while in Eastern Europe.
Great proximity to Senj old town.
We drove to the fortress, this was very impressive and has a well priced restaurant inside.
Great restaurants in the town.
Easy to navigate around Senj, it's a charming town, and we loved our stay very much.
We would definitely stay at Apartment Marino again. Thank you for having us.
It's been a short tho very pleasant stay at Nicol apartments. The room was clean and tidy, had everything we needed, plus an excellent view over Senj and the sea. The hosts, our Czech neighbors, were also very kind and helpful. Overall, we can only recommend the place. 🙂
Our hosts were wonderful and the property was a pleasant surprise. We found everything we needed for a multi-night stay. The town of Senj is close by and our hosts provided many helpful suggestions. We would stay again!
Well located on edge of Senj, 5 min walk to bars etc. Lovely room, comfy bed good shower brilliant chatty staff as we found throughout Croatia. Great breakfast spread, short walk to castle. Excellent.
