Fabulous location inside the pedestrian area of palace grounds. Hotel promptly sent a porter to carry all luggage from taxi drop off when we arrived and he took us to departure point in little tuk tuk. Bars, shops, restaurants right outside but very quiet in room. Great fresh breakfast cooked to order. Comfortable beds and large room. Very helpful front desk made recommendations and last minute reservations

Stunning Split stands proudly on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, and due to its great climate is called the Mediterranean Flower. It features eclectic architecture, spectacular views and delicious cuisine.
Split is centered around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and featuring limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. It lies in a bay decorated with white sails of yachts, as sailing is definitely Split’s big thing!
The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.
Make sure you visit the Bačvice Beach and the Riva promenade, popular with locals and full of cafés and palm trees. While on the hunt for local specialities, try soparnik - wood fired dough filled with vegetables - or local soft drinks Pipi and Orela.
So just pack your bags and head to Split Airport! Booking.com has plenty of sunny apartments, friendly guest houses and well-equipped hotels for your Split adventure.

Split is great port to visit - from there you can take ferry’s to islands and buses for day trips - buses go frequently and are very good - however the bus station there is beyond disgusting and so is the one in Makarska - such a shame considering the amount of people that come through there from all over the world. Are they not embarrassed - Surely they can slap a can of paint personally I would use a bulldozer -

Plenty to see and do.
Plenty to see and do. Spent 1 day on island and Blue Cave tour. Walking the old town was great and don’t miss the free music at 8pm every evening.
Great also to have dinner and a few drinks watching the pedestrian traffic on The Promenade.

Split is a lovely city and we found the people to be very friendly. We enjoyed exploring the city and walking along the Riva, especially in the evening. We also took a trip on the Red bus which I would recommend doing. You get to see more of the city and also learn about the history of Split. We were also going to Dubrovnik and decided to hire a car and drive down along the coastal road. It was so worth it! An easy drive, very beautiful and we could stop in at all the towns along the way. Much better than taking a ferry! Dropped the car off at Dubrovnik airport and caught the airport shuttle bus to town.

Split is a wonderful place to explore, within the palace, the art gallery, and walking along the sea front. The many beaches around are easy to access by car or foot. Staying centrally means there are no car rental or parking requirements but it is noisy at night. The music till midnight is part of city life but the shouting through till dawn is a spoiler and this was every night!

Very civilised, lovely restaurants and bars, quaint streets and old city to walk around. Ideal for a city break - 2 nights enough. Only 30 mins from the airport and good bus shuttle service for 9 Euros. Very safe to walk around at night as a female

The room is just in the middle of the main attraction of Split. Room is well decorated with modern furnitures and the bathroom is much bigger than any of the 5 star hotels of Europe. Best part is the assistance of Srdjan, who went out of his way to help me not only at Split but throughout Croatia. He helped me to book the bus tickets, ferry tickets to Brac, hiring cars, restaurants and what not. He is the best. Would recommend Miravel and Srdjan to all.
location in the heart of old town split, amazing roof top terrace, easy check in and check out,Tony the guy who looks after this place was always in contact with us up to checking in,also arranged pick up for us from airport,Natalie the lovely lady picked us up,was very informative about split and Croatia on our transfer to and from the airport, all rooms were very clean with everything we needed,10/10 this is a must stay in the heart of old town split
We had such a fabulous stay in Hotel Ora. The hotel had private parking too which was ideal for staying in Split with a car!
The location was all within walking distance too. The rooms were so lovely and very comfortable beds. The shower was also amazing too! The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was the best we've had in Croatia yet. Thank you for a memorable stay!!
Great location, 2 min walk to middle of the old town. Bed was super comfy, like sleeping on a cloud. Huge shower, really nice and modern bathroom. Welcoming hosts and a good value for money. This was by far the nicest place we stayed in 4 nights we spent in Croatia. I would definitely stay here again.
I was at the end of May. The best time to visit Croatia. It's not so hot and crowd. Location is perfect! Close to city centre. Clean rooms and bathroom. Kitchen is available to cook.
